Unbelievably Good!! Great portion sizes at a reasonable price. Super atmosphere. Everyone was knowledgeable and nice that we came in contact with, especially our waitress Caroline … took very good care of us (party of 3). Eat there, you won’t be disappointed!!
We visit Myrtle Beach 3-4 times a year. Flying Fish is one of our top picks for dinner while there. The wait staff has always been friendly and attentive. The food is always good.

Flying Fish Public Market & Grill offers spectacular baby back ribs, sweet potato fries, and Key lime pie, with the Creme brulee cheesecake remaining a must-try. The Perfect margarita continues to live up to its name. Known for its outstanding service and ample parking, the restaurant provides great views of the coastal waterway, making slightly pricey meals worthwhile. Fresh food and large portions are highlights, especially the delicious calamari and the sweet server. Guests enjoy a scenic canal view, although the establishment is not handicap accessible, as navigating stairs is necessary to reach the best views. The seafood options, such as the she crab soup and grouper with asparagus and rice, are well-prepared and enjoyable. A seafood boil seasoned with Old Bay allows diners to pick their ingredients, including snow crabs, shrimp, and clams, served with corn cobs, sausages, and potatoes. While some dishes like the fish of the day may vary in quality, the overall ambiance is nice for conversation, and the restaurant maintains a clean and nicely decorated space.
The restaurant has received positive feedback for its smoked fish dip, and the blackened mahi with garlic Parmesan cream sauce is noted as delicious. Appetizers like the Crab Cake Spring Rolls and Crab and Shrimp Nachos feature plenty of crab and shrimp, and many guests appreciate the outdoor seating that provides a great view of the intercoastal waterway. Although the burger and baked oysters topped with butter, Parmesan, and bacon received mixed reviews, the sweet potato fries remain a favorite, especially when paired with maple butter. Overall, Flying Fish is a place where guests plan to return for more delightful meals and great service.
