I can't say enough good things about the Shack -- It is just REAL GOOD home cooking. We travel to North Myrtle beach a couple of times a year and we NEVER miss going to the Shack. Typically we will go to a breakfast (or 2) as well as a dinner. This is southern cooking at it's best. Go early -- There is almost always a wait.

This is THE spot for a good bite to eat! We stopped here on 01/02/26 for lunch and it was delicious! I hate I forgot to get a picture! This place was so good that we stopped again this morning for breakfast on our way out and it was a 10/10 both times! Good atmosphere, great food, and incredible staff. I cannot wait to come back here again next year!

My husband and I had dinner at The Shack and were really impressed. They always seem to stay busy, so don’t show up too hungry—either get there early or be prepared for a crowd. That said, the food is absolutely worth it.
I ordered the fried scallops, fried flounder, and fried shrimp, and everything was wonderful. The breading was light, flavorful, and perfectly crisp, and all of the seafood came out hot and fresh. I’m not usually a fan of slaw, but theirs was honestly...
