Suspicious of this being an empty claim due to the massive rejiggering of hours at your local Awful Waffle during the pandemic that saw doors locked overnight even when both a cook and server were inside unoccupied (none of which was reflected on store signage or websites), you decide to call ahead to confirm, just to avoid a wasted trip. Seems reasonable, but probably unnecessary since open 24-hours is not a conditional thing. Beep-boop-boop-boop… ring, ring… “if you want to order you gotta do it online or with our crappy app cuz we stopped taking phone orders.” Hmmm. Press 0? Invalid entry. 1? Invalid entry. Damn. Get in car. Drive 10 minutes. Get told you can’t come into the empty restaurant. Why? Because we only do To-Go between 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM starting Friday night through Sunday morning (and on Holidays). Tell young lady you tried to call to keep THIS EXACT THING from happening. “We don’t have a phone.” Shocking. “What harm would it do for me to sit down and eat my food quietly in a booth instead of have to eat in my car or let it get cold on my ride back to the crappy motel I’m trying to get away from?” “We’d get fired?” “How would they even know?” “The security camera footage.” “So, Waffle House is the kind of company that would fire three people for having served a customer food in its closed 24-hour location 45 minutes early?” I’ll spare the obvious stammered non-response. If you are going to take the time to have a big-ass sign made up saying this, maybe also update your Google listings to read the actual hours the dining room is open. Just saying. Anyway, now that I’ve sat here in the parking lot pissed off and hungry, it’s close enough to 6:00 AM for me to go to a decent place anyway, cuz you know I didn’t order anything from these time-wasting jokers. Do better, please.

My family and I went on December 2nd . The service was awful. You might as well close it down. You already have take out hours only! The waitress was terrible. Not hello , greeting us with a terricloth Houserobe on. Served burnt coffee. Then left and went to the bathroom for 30 minutes then we had to remind her that we needed our coffee when she got back. Didn’t get our bacon. Had to tell the cook that it should have been with our order. Ended up eating my other food waiting on the bacon. Then two of my family members had to flag the waitress down for a refill of coke and tea. She never checked to see if we needed anything. Poor poor service!

Our waitress Pam who normally works third shift was awesome and everyone on first shift was so friendly, they made our first meal at the beach spectacular. The food was beyond words, so totally delicious, Brice is the greatest cook I've have had the pleasure of meeting.We also got to meet Bethany who was from around our area back in Virginia. A+ thank y'all so much.

We were in on first shift today. Pamela, our waitress was spectacular! The cook awesome! All our meals were perfect. This is one of the top 3 waffle houses I've ever dined in, and that's a long list. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great meal with a happy and jovial environment.
