Basil & Bourbon Reviews
I stop here when i get my motorbike serviced. They do the best Bacon Ciabatta & cappuccino I have ever had, served by friendly guys.

This was the best Italian restaurant I've been to other than in Italy.
Peppe, the owner who is from Naples, is inspirational. He had a bad health problem in 2016 and has just recently recovered. He has come back with an awesome restaurant. The best tomato sauce, wonderful bread and olive oil, delicious burrata salad and bomba for dessert was so enjoyable in a restaurant that lent itself, with it's relaxing ambience, to focusing on...read full review
Ordered delivery. An additional $20 charge added for I don't even kniw what. I had chicken parm. One of the worst meals I've ever eaten. The angel hair was gummy, the sauce was bitter, and the breading on the chicken tasted like old grease. Will not order again.

Basil & Bourbon is a small, quiet Italian restaurant that offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. Many guests praise the food for its good flavor and consistent quality. The spaghetti Bolognese and pasta with meatballs receive high marks, with some describing them as delicious and perfect to al dente. The Bolognese is also highly recommended by multiple visitors. The bread is a favorite, and the atmosphere is described as peaceful and clean, making it a decent spot for a weekday meal.
However, service issues are noted. The restaurant often appears short-staffed, with reports of only one server or no bartender, leading to slow or poor service. Guests have experienced long waits, forgotten orders, and food sitting unserved for extended periods. Some meals, like chicken Marsala and veal Parmesan, did not meet expectations, with overcooked or poorly tasting sauces. One guest mentioned their husband's veal was overcooked, and the sauce tasted like tomato paste, while another found the chicken Marsala sauce vinegary.
Despite these issues, the owner is recognized for good customer service, and some visitors appreciate prompt service and respectful staff. The wine selection includes house bourbon (Jim Beam) and Chianti Rigoletto. Overall, Basil & Bourbon is appreciated for its tasty food and nice atmosphere but is sometimes hindered by inconsistent service.
