I went to Nonna Rosa with a friend for lunch to celebrate a birthday and graduation. The staff are super friendly and the food is phenomenal. I had gnocchi with tomato sauce and mozzarella and it was delicious. My friend had rigatoni with vodka sauce. Her food was pretty tasty as well. Staff were very accommodating. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This place is amazing. I will be back.

I was heading into Bluffton and traffic caused an hour plus delay to my hotel. I decided to pull over and wait it out. Torn between the Mexican restaurant and Nonna Rosa. I like to sit at the bar because because it's just me and the bar at the Mexican restaurant was closed. I am so glad because this place is a gem. Teresa was a fabulous bartender and had such great conversation and suggestions. The food is made to order so I was able to spice my meal up a notch. I had the chicken caccatori and it was delicious. I asked her to surprise me with a to go desert and later on I had the BEST tiramisu I have ever had. So light and fluffy. I can't begin to describe how good it was. I am here for the week and although I like to try different places, I am tempted to go back! If your in town, give them a try.

FIVE STARS for Tish and Ms Theresa, the most incredible waitstaff I’ve ever experienced. My dad loves Nonna Rosa for their consistently delicious and well priced dishes, so I joined him with my 2 little ones. And right on time, my toddler threw the most spectacular meltdown. But Tish and Ms Theresa pulled out all the stops to help make things comfortable for everyone. I cannot thank them enough for their patience and kindness, and the food was DELICIOUS - so good it fixed the meltdown!

Best Mozzarella sticks i ever had. The rigatoni ala vodka was thick and creamy and they didn't skimp on the pancetta.owner came up to us and introduced himself and treated us like family.only regret is we didn't have any left overs because we ate it all lol

Waited 15 mins to be seated with no one else in line and lots of empty tables. Apps came and no drinks. Out of multiple menu items. One wait staff for entire place. Food sub par.

Our reservation was at 6:00 and only 2 other families were there. Our waiter only checked on us once, never asked us if we wanted drinks, and didn’t even bring the bill. The food was awful!! The chicken was cardboard, and all of our plates were drowning in sauce.

We went for a birthday, they are understaffed, the owner yells at his employees in front of the restaurant. At one point the owner was yelling at our waiter and everyone in the restaurant stopped eating and watched the whole thing. Food and drinks were slow, we showed up at 5pm, we were finished with our meal by 7 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until 8pm because the check took forever. Food was not worth the headache. Their website also leads directly to a NSFW website.

Waited in line 30 minutes smelling a sewer because the hostess said it was a five minute wait. The smell was overwhelming. It gave us a headache. I think they are washing dishes with sewer water. We don’t mind waiting, but the hostess was incredibly rude and ignored 4 other parties who walked out. I was genuinely concerned there would be fecal matter on the dishes. And then a staff member yelled at a customer who asked about the smell. Classless.

This was the best Italian restaurant I've been to other than in Italy.
Peppe, the owner who is from Naples, is inspirational. He had a bad health problem in 2016 and has just recently recovered. He has come back with an awesome restaurant. The best tomato sauce, wonderful bread and olive oil, delicious burrata salad and bomba for dessert was so enjoyable in a restaurant that lent itself, with it's relaxing ambience, to focusing on the food.
The service was great, especially considering that we went after a once in a generation ice and snow storm.
Great vegetarian options.
Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

We just left this restaurant after never being acknowledged by anyone and we were literally the only ones waiting. There were a group of worker standing behind the bar laughing and talking. One young man seemed to try to get someone in the kitchen and then went back to the group of girls behind the bar talking and appeared to let them know we were standing there waiting to at least be seated. The girls turned around, looked at us, never apologized and THEY STILL DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO ACKNOWLEDGE US!! We’d hate to assume it was because of our race and would rather hope and pray it was pure ignorance on their behalf. Whatever it is, it was totally RUDE AND UNACCEPTABLE. We turned and walked out, still without as much as a “hey, we’re sorry” or “someone will be with you in a moment”. We are in the area often as we have family who live here but we will never return to this establishment, and we will be sure to let our friends and family know about the horrible service as well.
