This place is great. Very friendly staff and delicious food await inside. I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here, but I can attest to the delicious-ness of the curry goat, ox tails, candied yams , plantains, and peas and rice. Looking forward to my next trip through Orangeburg to go here again.

I was blown away with the flavor of the dish. It was amazing. The portion was huge for my stomach. The staff member that helped me was kind, but did not seem to be in a rush to serve. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains times two meals to go. This is a hidden gem and I will return.
This place I highly recommend great food, customer service is A+.

On several occasions of trying to order certain items from this establishment, they were out of those items. I have gave this place several tries before making this review. Just pure disappointment. Their macaroni and cheese is sweet. Not everyone likes sugar in everything.
Maybe we caught them on an off day. I see there are several good reviews, unfortunately I cannot mirror that sentiment.
Upon entering it was very warm. I presume the a/c was broken because the doors were open & there were a few large fans trying their best to cool down the seating areas. We were going to eat inside, but due to some housekeeping issues we noticed, we decided to take our food to go. It appears this might be a good location for large groups, parties, etc.
As for the food, it came pretty quick. Sadly my rice & peas were extremely overcooked & had too much clove. I am used to oxtails having flavor, gravy, & texture yet tenderness. In my opinion the flavor profile was not there & there was no gravy. The oxtails were tender - but maybe too tender for my liking as it was more like a shredded meat. The mac n cheese was sweet?? I was not prepared for that at all. My mom enjoyed her jerk chicken. We both thought the cabbage was okay. The best thing from my experience were the portion sizes for the price.
Hopefully it was just an off day. Unfortunately it was enough to make me not want to try it again

On Sunday, March 29, we purchased 2 plates of oxtails, rice, and Macoroni. The food was good and oxtails was amazing. Until, the next day we felt all the type of pain that you could imagine such as Stomach pain, chest pain, back pain, and etc. I’ve had gotten a fever of 104.7 which is high and I’ve never in my life experienced this after eating food and I’ll never well be eating from here AGAIN.

Food is great, the service was also great. The atmosphere was quiet, it was early afternoon and it was my first time going to this restaurant.

So I’m from New York City and I tried their food two days ago. Not gonna lie, I was like, “I know this food is about to be trash”. Being from NYC, we automatically think food outside of our city is trash! So I ordered the Oxtails, rice and peas and candied yams. When I picked up the food, I told one of the workers, “Man if this food is trash, I’m bringing it right back”. He replied, “You won’t be back”. LOL. Anyway, I tried the food, and I was like DAYUM!! It was the best Jamaican food by far. Orangeburg taught me a good lesson! I’ll be back for sure.

Arrived excited left disappointed !!!!!
Waited 35 minutes for food that tasted old, rice tasted burnt and the soup was cold.
The best thing was the lemonade and the young girl cashier was very sweet.
Sat down to eat, looked up and the dust on the ceiling fan was so thick it looked it hadn’t been clean in a very long time.

Outstanding! My compliments to the chef! My dad is Trinidadian and my mom is Jamaican. They covered both bases with the roti, curries, oxtail etc. Everything I had was superb! Even the ambiance reminded me of the best little eating spots in the islands- not fancy but very authentic. The hostess was warm and friendly and very accommodating. I will be back…again and again!
