Came in today for a quiet beer on the way back to HHI from Charleston. Great place with good beer and great staff. Have frequented many times. Today was barking dog central. Just totally not cool. Will not be back in the future. What a shame but wanted you to know.

Great beers and a great vibe. The outdoors are lovely and the indoor space is friendly and welcoming. The beers are delicious with a good variety of styles. The indoors are dog friendly, which is greatly appreciated when it's cold out. The food looked good with an interesting variety of dishes. We weren't that hungry but we got some fries which were done nicely and served with a slightly spicy remoulade.

Shellring is a great place to have a beer and watch the sunset anytime. If you like dark beer, be sure to stop by during their dark days of winter.

This brewery is doing it right. Great location, great beer, tons of seating options and did I mention great beer. They do the traditional styles, Pilsner, and Helles and then absolutely can do the IPA in West Coast or New England. Dogs are allowed everywhere on leash and the seats overlooking the river are so wonderful. The beer, the food and the vibe. So great.
We took my parents here to have a couple of beers before dinner. The atmosphere out back is right on the water, which is pretty cool. The beers were all above average, but nothing to write home about in my opinion. My favorite of the 7 I tasted was Alpha of the Abyss IPA.
