Any of my complaints won't subtract from the 5 stars they earned today! I would suggest a better beer selection..... And that's it.. Well, the dining room was a little warm but the whole building was having HVAC work done. Not their fault. PS they cater too!

We stumbled on Genesis by accident on a trip from Savannah. Hands down, some of the best food we have had recently.
The restaurant was clean and the service was impeccable. We will definetly be back.

The St. John’s class of 1984 visited on June 30,2024 after visiting Bethel AME in Ravenel and this place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely scrumptious. The staff was very friendly. I ordered fish and shrimp with corn and corn bread. Everything was tasty and seasoned to perfection. I will most definitely visit again. Keep up the good work.

I am a chef and I managed one of the top restaurants in the low country but I must say this place is what you call a home cook meal and has great customer service. I properly asked questions about my food and she answered all of my questions and she showed me how to order what I wanted the right way. Y'all are the true definition of sisters and I love it and the food cause I know I can cook and I know Genesis is smiling down on his mother and aunties

Wow! Great seafood, wonderful, friendly fast service and fun atmosphere.

We were tourists passing through the area, and we were on a mission to find food. We were so hungry. We almost missed this place that was tucked in the very back of this strip center. It was only the sign "restaurant" at the road that caught our attention. We had no idea what kind of restaurant. Well, we found out: Seafood!

The portion sizes are large and delicous. It only took a matter of minutes to cook up our order fresh. I had the fish & chip basket, which included four large pieces of fresh haddock, french fries, and hushpupies. My wife had the fried shrimp. Everything was so good.

Great light fry on the shrimp and fish. Loved the black eyed peas and red rice. My wife and I loved the Mac n cheese even though that’s not usually my thing. This will definitely be a stop on the next trip to either Charleston or Savannah.

Found this place because I was looking for some flounder and saw the pictures of rhe wings. We got there late and they were still accommodating and we did not feel rushed.They are family owned and they cook with love.The wings were crispy and seasoned well. We had the jerk rub, lemon pepper, Carolina gold and bourbon.Wife and I had the flounder platter with red rice, mac and cheese, corn bread, string beans and cucumbers and tomatoes salad.Everything was so good felt like home cooking.My brother had the shrimp platter and he loved his food as well.We will make this a regular when we are back in South Carolina.We definitely recommend this place when you are in the Charleston area!
