Wonderful celebration dinner for husband's 80th birthday. Service excellent. Ambiance great. Food outstanding. Definitely the right choice for such a milestone.
Excellent service, good steaks, great sides, excellent dessert but a little pricey for the middle of nowhere
Just okay. Been many times. Not sure if off night or maybe they just were not on their game.
The menu selection is great. We had fried oysters and oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. Both were delicious. Chopped salad was good. For dinner, we had the bone-in ribeye, blackened halibut, and shrimp and grits. All were fantastic. The service was excellent. Always a good choice for dinner and well worth the drive from Columbia.
Always a wonderful experience with amazing knowledgeable service. Food is always good. Never disappoints
Excellent dinner as always. The aged steak is what we go for but we love everything we get everytime. We got Chad as our waiter again, he always does a great iob!
It was an absolutely wonderful experience at this little hidden gem. The staff was so kind and made wonderful suggestions. The view is just so peaceful. Wine list was top tier! Pricing was exactly what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. It is recommended to make reservations a week in advance in season. We will be returning often.
My friends absolutely enjoyed our experience at millpond! The restaurant has a very inviting atmosphere with the most incredible view of the pond. The food is outstanding! So although it is expensive the quality and taste make it worth the money! The wait staff is so friendly and efficient. Thank you for making my friends birthday dinner such a pleasant experience. We will be back :)
This is a hidden gem! Fine dining experience in rustic setting. Food and service were top notch. Steaks were phenomenal as was shrimp and grits. Apple cobbler for dessert. This place can hold its own against any top “big city” steakhouse. Worth the trip!
We had dinner last night with friends and cannot think of a better meal or experience that we've ever enjoyed compared to Mill Pond. The setting is incredible! The beef was the most delicious I've ever had. The creamed spinach and apple cobbler were outstanding. Our server Eric was the best! And the attention from other staff makes it a unique experience. Better than 5 stars!!!

Great steak house without the steakhouse price tag. We went with friends and shared the fried oyster appetizer, which was excellent . I had the aged ribeye, my wife had crab cakes, and our friends had the halibut and filet mignon. The crab cakes were huge and mostly crab. The ribeye was better than I could do at home (a rarity) and our friends cleaned their plates. We shared the berry cobbler for dessert which was delicious. The only area for improvement might be at the bar...the old fashioned was fine but luxardo cherries and Demerara sugar would elevate the drink over the simple syrup and bright red cherries that are better left in a kid's Shirley temple.
This was our first time dining at Millpond and certainly won't be our last. Chad was very informative and kind during our dining experience. We were lucky enough to have a window seat with a gorgeous view.
Food was great as always. Service was not quite up to the standards they have usual had. We had to ask one of the wait staff twice for a new fork after we had dropped it on the floor. He said he forgot about. They were not that busy last night. Also we told them that we were there for our aunt and uncles 50th anniversary. At those prices you would think they would at least offer a piece of cake to acknowledge it. Oh well.
Had a 7:30 pm reservation Saturday night. We arrived around 7:15 pm and was immediately told they were running behind and asked if we would like to have a seat on the patio. It was nice evening so we agreed. We were told a waiter would arrive on the patio to take out drink order. That never happened. The staff wasn't able to seat us until 8:30 pm. The waiter (Gab) did the best he could but informed us they were already out of several different dressings for our salads. Food finally arrived, the twice backed potato was cold. This was an anniversary dinner. I would expect much better from a 4-5 star restaurant. Very disappointed.
