“A hidden gem! My husband and I are huge into places with history, so when I was told about mill pond I surprised him on a date night. My husband has lived in several countries and has tried tons of different steaks around the world, needless to say…he said the king filet wrapped in bacon was the best steak he has ever had!! My husband is very nit picky, so this is huge! My dish was amazing as well (one of their specials) and the peach cobbler reminded me of when I was a kid, eating one of my mom’s homemade cobblers. You will feel like you traveled back in time in so many ways! We will be coming back multiple times, already can’t wait.”

“I'm speechless. This was my first meal there and will not be my last. The atmosphere was so relaxing and a great way to end a rough week and celebrate my birthday. There was no pre-bussing to rush you out like at chain steakhouses. The meal was served at our pace. Great attention to timing!! Very relaxing jazz played at the right volume.
We had the rib-eye which was perfectly medium rare. Shrimp and grits with local stone ground grits and heavy cream. The Cole slaw was the best ever!!

“I am so angry that this place is all the way in Sumter which is 2 hours away from me. My boyfriend and I stopped in here for breakfast before we headed back to charleston. This is probably some of the best breakfast I've ever had in my life. The staff is wonderful!”

“This has become one of my favorite restaurants in town! I love supporting small, family owned businesses but this one has exceeded my expectations over and over. The desserts are unique and high quality, every meal I have tried has been amazing. My favorite right now is the Khao Soi with rice instead of noodles with a butterfly pea tea 🤤 I think the food is very child friendly unless you expect chicken nuggets at ethnic restaurants”

“A little pricey but what isn’t nowadays. I don’t think there is a time this place isn’t busy. Food is good and servers are nice. Good place to take family for lunch or dinner. Parking spaces are tight and limited. Be prepared to park behind the restaurant if you don’t get here before the rush.”

“The Par-Tee is a great place to have a few drinks, play darts, or play pool. This is a private club that is free to join you just need to be at least 21 or older and have a valid ID. They have a 4-7 happy hour where most drinks are .50 off. It is a full service bar with well drinks for just $3.00. Come on down on a Saturday where they have karaoke 🎤 and sing. They have a band at least once a month. Open Mic on Tuesdays.”

First time going to a Sub Station II since moving to SC from NY. Turns out the cute girl behind the counter was also from NY. She made the perfect foot long meatball sub. The right amount of cheese and not flooded with sauce like another sandwich shop does. And man was this packed with meat. Again, unlike another sandwich shop does.”
