My husband loves Jamaican, so he had to try. They do give you a lot of food however the collards was dry.

All I can say is wow, this place had the vibes and the food to back it up. Great tunes and awesome selection of items. Clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options, which is great for myself. The Jerk Tofu with yellow rice and collards was the dish of the day. Will be back very very soon.

We chose Island Grill for dinner after his graduation ceremony because it's one of our son’s favorite restaurants—and now we understand even more why he loves it.
We called ahead and pre-ordered our meals so the staff would have enough time to prepare for our arrival. From the moment we arrived, the staff handled our large group with patience, professionalism, and a warm, welcoming attitude. Everything was perfectly organized, and we never felt rushed or overlooked despite the size of our party.
The food was absolutely delicious—every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It’s not easy to please such a large and diverse group, but everyone really enjoyed it!
What stood out most was how the team went above and beyond to make this celebration feel special. They helped create a relaxed, joyful atmosphere that made the evening truly memorable for our entire family.

Oh my goodness! We usually travel to Asheville for Caribbean food, but I believe we have discovered our ideal location. The cuisine is delectable, and they serve generous portions. I savored the stewed chicken with yellow rice and collards. My seven-year-old enjoyed the small oxtail with yellow rice. My husband opted for the jerk chicken and collards. We were fortunate to have leftovers to take home.

I got here 30mins before closing and they still took great care of me and made me feel welcome. I had stewed chicken my fiancé had jerk chicken and we ordered oxtail pasta just because I mean I’ve never heard of that.. it was all fabulous!! Great service great food.. it’s my new favorite place..can’t wait to return.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times when I'm in the area and they never miss. Everything I've tried has been a hit: oxtail, curry goat, oxtail pasta, patties. All flavorful, filling, and in abundance. I always have enough for more than 1 sitting so your dollar really stretches. So far I've tried the in house ginger lemonade drink and sorrel. Loved them both. Staff has always been friendly and gives homecoming vibes. A must try location if you're in the area!
