10/10 to the host, the waitress, and the person bringing it from the kitchen. Waitress was distant but attentive thankfully. Everyone was happy and wanted to make a good experience. The BBQ was okay, but still better and more consistent than some bbq restaurants in the area. I feel like Sonny's is more nostalgic for us locals these days. It's not like it was, but nothing is.

Decided to branch out and try some more of the local rock hill barbecue scene and was honestly left with a passable experience of Sonny’s aside from the disappointment of not receiving to-go silverware for the sides and being in a hotel that also doesn’t have any silverware lying out. The Cuban sandwich had a delicate smoky taste to it, but the oily garlic bread, unmelted Swiss cheese, and middle of the road Carolina gold sauce left a lot to be desired. And the steak burger...
