Wonderful food. Great service. The mushroom pasta was on point, as were all the deserts. (Our party got one of each) Skip the shaved brussels though.

Too bad this open-to-the-public grill in a beautiful setting lacks attention to food and service detail. Had lunch there (a good wine list is a bonus) but the burger ordered medium came well done and the so- called “pimiento cheese” was truly just shredded cheap cheese. The burger was a pre-fab thing, dry as a bone. The so-called “tomato jam” was a disgusting sweet something. The broccoli slaw had no trace of broccoli. It is just a bagged Cole slaw mix in a vinegar base. The fries were skinny and crispy. Overall, disappointing.

I wish we would have gone at sunset!

The food was beyond a 5. There were 4 of us celebrating Friendsgiving, and we each ordered very different entrees and sides. The drink menus had seasonal options, and mine was amazing. Very fall-like with cinnamon whiskey. I had a crab stuffed trout that was grilled to perfection.

Our service was just right. The food quantity was good for the price and the atmosphere is good.

I'd highly recommend the drive, unless you live in the island.

To even FIND a deliquesce like this, here on a private island, at reasonable prices, was a surprise!
Elegance mixed with low country charm, great food, and great service!
We came by boat, and had no idea what to expect.
I think it was the top of our nights out dining. We worried about the bar closing at 9, but daylight savings time meant that was 4.5 hours later.
Docking was free for dining customers on 11.14.24

We go to Morgan river often. We love the food and the view. The last couple times we have had terrible service. It was the same waitress both times who is too busy flirting with the bartender and talking on the phone to do her job and when she does show up she’s not even friendly. I think we are going to take a break from the place for a while.

Just a note on a posted review regarding the security gate entry point: "The requirement to scan your driver's license could feel intrusive and not particularly welcoming, adding a note of inconvenience". No one should feel this way in the day/age we live. I work in security. This feature is to keep everyone safe in case someone is entering for nefarious reasons. People need to get over the feeling of personal inconvenience and think of the safety of all. I'm sure the residents living there feel the same way.

Master Chef Charlie is an understated genius! Bring him your catch and taste the incredible creativity! I brought him my Flounder and it was easily the best I ever had! Make it on Monday if possible when they are not as busy!!!

The waitress in the River Room for a party of 22 was overwhelmed while 3-4 other wait staff were less busy and just hanging out in other areas of the restaurant. We could have used 1-2 extra servers for the meal to have gone smoother. Children were crying and overly hungry and several of the adults felt the same. Not impressed with management and their placement of staff. Our waitress was very pleasant and any negatives were no fault of her own.

Used to love MRG but lately have been VERY disappointed with the service/management. It took 20 minutes and 3 escalations to try to order a wedge salad with a blackened fish. The manager told us we could not add a “special” fish to a salad…? We offered to pay whatever uplift was necessary but she was steadfast that the only way we could order the grouper filet was as an entree with the two sides. She was rude and inflexible. The last time we went for dinner it took over an hour to receive our food. Hate to say it, but it will be awhile before we go back.
