We took a detour off I-95 for lunch on our way back to FL, and it was WELL worth the extra time. Super friendly staff all around - we were checked on often by multiple staff and our drinks were refreshed constantly. We weren't rushed at all, even though we arrived half hour before their mid day closing time. Our server was happy to exlplain the tomato pie and hash & rice since we'd never heard of either. Well, accidentally went into someone's historic house by mistake. Nice house, I'd have you know! The restaurant is the next door down; just follow the crowd. This place is St. Matthew's secret. Very good flounder and the tuna tacos are absolutely tongue boggling delicious! Gourmet -Hawaiian themed. Small and cozy place so visit earlier in the evening.

Go!!! We had a wonderful meal. Everything was top notch and delious. Went with the brisket....tomato pie, collard greens, rice and hash....to die for. Even the marinated pickle and onions garnish was on point. A true hidden jewel in St Mathews.
