The CLARK'S INN is a local historic icon which has stood like a gem among the encroaching hustle and bustle of the "modern " world. It is an absolutely marvelous repite for anyone heading north or coming south on the I-95!I have not had the pleasure of staying here (their Bed & Breakfast stay packages look reasonable) but every chance I get I stop to stroll through their fascinating gift shop, beautiful old hallways and relish in their antique dining areas.The bar had the friendly and efficient PAM (THANKS!!!) who brought out a delicious chicken salad sandwich on a crispy ciabatta bun. This filled me up and I could only have a bit of the delicious APPLE CRISP which I finished later from my take-away box.(THANK YOU CHEF and the kitchen staff!!!)SO happy this place has survived all these years, and especially after the COVID problems. If you are ever in the area I seriously suggest you treat yourself.Food & drinks: Read my review...............

We stayed here on our trip to Tallahassee and then back the following week. Our first visit to the restaurant was amazing. On our trip back, we had breakfast in the dining room (March 29) and received very poor service from our waiter. The other waiter in the dining room was servicing his tables very efficiently and pleasurably. Our waiter would disappear until another party was seated at 1 of his tables. I discovered he was in a vacant dining room on his phone instead of refilling our coffee and asking us if we needed anything else. We only saw him once after being seated. And that was because another party was seated at the table next to us. I requested a refill on my coffee. He did not ask if we needed anything else. He just disappeared again. The biscuits and gravy are not recommended for breakfast. My waiter did not give us a chance to rectify that to satisfaction. This is the only complaint I have of Clarks Inn.

Loved our choice for dinner while traveling in our RV. Gorgeous historic Inn & great Southern hospitality. Beautifully decorated. Fried chicken and shrimp & corn chowder were excellent. The steak wasn’t outstanding (hence the 4 stars). The apple crisp was average. Cocktails were great and very reasonably priced.(Missed the absence of a specialty cocktail list for some inspiration but the bartender did just fine…)The addition of a nice bread basket with some cornbread or such would have kicked things up a notch.

This is our new favorite place to stay between Virginia and Florida. The staff is super friendly. Beds are comfy. The room felt like a guest room in someone's house. Great restaurant and bar. It's the perfect stop.

Very clean room, outstanding staff, great restaurant with yummy food btw the breakfast is awesome (pancakes were life changing lol), very convenient location to 95, I would suggest visiting lake Marion park while your here. We come here every year making the trip going and coming from Florida. Thank you all for a great visit always.

I stay here as a midpoint on my way to Florida. Nice rooms in the main building. The restaurant and gift shoppe are attractive. A complimentary hot breakfast is served to hotel guests. A classic inn just off I95 in Santee, bordering Lake Marion.Rooms: Large clean king room with poster bed. Everything worked. Wifi included.Food & drinks: There is a seafood fry restaurant across the street behind the Waffle House. It's a white building in the rear. It's called A&A Seafood. Very good platters cooked by some very nice African American women. I had a catfish platter with fried okra and potato salad.
Best hotel I stayed in along time!!! Service was excellent and room was very clean!!! Room service was great!!! Can't say enough definitely be back!!!!Nearby activities: Alot of golf!!!Walkability: Close to everything.Food & drinks: Good food and restaurants

My wife and I visited Clark's for the restaurant and we had such a lovely time! Our server was helpful with recommendations and a joy to talk to throughout the experience. I ordered the steak and it was expertly crafted. My wife enjoyed a plate of their pasta, which she could not stop talking about when we left. We also enjoyed a glass of wine and dessert afterwards. Again, we ordered differently here, I got the decadent chocolate cake slice and she ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake and they were both amazing!!5/5 experience, all around, we even enjoyed a walkthrough of the gift shop and had a lovely time speaking with the hostess in there.Food & drinks: Food and drinks were all excellent, our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and was able to pick out a complementary wine for us to try as well.
