Do not rely on the online menu it is not current or up to date .We came out for a date night , excited by the online menu choices . Different and unique is what we were hoping for . It all sounded so amazing. We drove 45 mins reading all the things we couldn't wait to try .We sit and order our drinks and review the the one page menu ? This isn't right ... where's the gator bites ? Blackened tuna nachos , Crab stuffed shrimp ? Ect .I read all these awesome reviews so we couldn't wait to eat here .We ask the waitress only to be very disappointed by her answer , none of these items are available .Apparently new ownership new menu. And they can't seem to get the online menu updated .Look we're not uppity , we just don't get out much ,so when we do get out we want something different.Nothing about the food made this restaurant stand out from any other . Wings , ribs , burgers same old same oldTo hungry to leave and no idea where else to go, plus its a long drive home .it's just too late to start over .We ordered an app....and ... it was already sold out at 7 pm ...sigh. ok. . So we ordered another app and a dinner that sounded okOverall what we did eat was good . Nothing special but good . Service was good .Would we eat there again no.

We were excited to try Bar 1884 as the reviews sounded great but unfortunately our experience was a huge disappointment. The service was slow despite many employees roaming around aimlessly and all three of our meals came out lukewarm and bland. If the food tasted as good as it looked it would have been a real treat. We all decided we would not be back.

This was our first time here, and we loved it! Our waitress, Anna, was very attentive and made me an amazing drink! Definitely give the poison apple drink a try!I got the short rib nachos, which were delicious, and my husband enjoyed his shrimp salad. We split a piece of the banana pudding cheesecake, which I highly recommend!We will definitely be back!

Reservations for 6 people, brunch, noon Sunday morning. Several people ordered bloody mary's. Did not get served until 12:50. Not crowded either. The excuse was the mix was downstairs. Server was great and kept checking on us, as we were getting frustrated, and eventually said she would remove the drinks from our bill. But as we were paying our checks, the manager spoke to us to apologize, but said if she removed the drinks from our bill, the server would have to pay for them. Food was good, our server was good - but wait times were atrocious, and management was not customer focused. We all decided we will not go back for some time - it's back to Main St Pub or Cribbs for Sunday brunch.

This was my first time eating here. The food was delicious. I didn’t expect food like this to taste good in a “bar”. The service was good and friendly. I came after a graduation ceremony with a family to celebrate. I ordered pancakes, bacon and hash browns. Delicious ?

I had hoped when they reopened there would be some improvements. The restaurant is always clean and the patio is awesome. The food is just mediocre. Service tends to be a bit slow.

Personally, I had a great experience with everything there. Everyone was so nice, food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. We got to sit on the balcony and was able to hear the music from down the street. Our server was so nice to us and patience with answering all our questions. Food came out quickly and turned out great. We had the pork buns for appetizer and got the Jamin' burger. The pork buns tasted good with the hoisin sauce and the pork cooked wonderfully. The onion/bacon jam tasted so good with the BBQ on the Jamin' burger. Would highly recommend the Jamin' burger

Best kept secret in Spartanburg!! Alligator bites, bison burger, crab cakes, avacado tuna salad and the pomegranate blueberry drink were all awesomely delicious! Highly recommend, will definitely be back to try more menu items. Waiter was outstanding. Brunch is also awesome, endless mimosas are delicious!

I can not say enough about Bar 1884, AMAZING!! I’ve been for dinner and brunch, the food is spectacular the atmosphere is inviting and location perfect!!! I’ve had chicken and waffles which I’m so picky about because I favor my own lol but the waffle batter is made to order so it’s customizable and so tasty! I’ve had the salmon, crab wonton dip, Brussel sprouts and most recently the melt in your mouth braised short rib. All made to perfection, kudos to the chef?. If you have not been to this little hidden gem downtown, run!!!
