“We haven’t been out on a date in quite a while as dining out has become more of a nuisance than an enjoyed adventure. However, Sophia’s brought us back to life and gave us a new date night spot! From the greeting at the door to the authentic bread and dipping oil starting our journey off to a pleasant beginning. We ordered the meatballs and garlic bread with cheese and we should have just stopped there, but we had to keep going. We shared a Parmesan Chicken over Fettucini and I and taking a large part of my half home with me. And of course we had to bring home some dessert. We had seen the Bananas Foster Cake online but unfortunately it was not available so we have some Tiramisu to try when we get home! Thanks for an amazing night out! Can’t wait to come back! And pace ourselves a little more! So delightful!!!”

The burger was, unfortunately, the hardest, dryest, over seasoned burger I've ever eaten. It was too thick to be considered a smash burger. I truly like this place and come when we are in the area to buy cases of their beer. So this was my first time eating here. Just maybe try something besides the burgers.”

“Went on Labor Day, it wasn’t busy and we were seated, greeted quickly. My wife had the Sliders, beef and they were delicious. Plenty of cheese, grilled onion, and she added bacon, super tasty and large enough portion to split. She also got the baked beans, sweet and yummy, also had grill onions which I thought odd but it was good. I had 10 wings, half Thai Sweet Chili sauced and half Cheerywine BBQ sauce. The Cheerywine sauce I’d never had before and it was the better of the two. I don’t normally order wings, so certainly no expert, but for me, they were overly fried, so crispy that some of the skin was hard as bone. I didn’t complain, and ate them anyway as I know many folks like their wings crispy. Ten wings for $16, served with two tiny slivers of celery and ranch dip that was way too watery is not something I’d order again. But I definitely can recommend the Sliders and we’ll return for those, maybe try some boneless wings next time. Plenty of tv screens around the room, would be a great place to hit on game day.”

“We love to go to Applebees on hillcrest side of town but we happened to be on the west gate side so we stopped to eat . Our server sucked she wasn’t polite and just handed over our food and hurried away . Seen her outside the window smoking and talking to someone that had just pulled up , she comes back in after 10 mins or so brings our food it’s cold !

We waited an hour for 2 burgers/fries and a chicken plate, when people that came after us got their food and left while we were still waiting. Used to be a good place, not so much anymore.”

But sometimes I will get one of the noodle dishes, they’re also really good. The service is always A+ and the atmosphere is chill. “Todd from SBHs was the first person to get back to me after I made several catering inquiries online. He called me, personally, later the same day. He took my request over the phone, encouraged me to use his cell phone for any questions, and sent me an estimate within a couple of hours. When I texted with questions or changes, he got back to me within the hour. It was a small party, less than 50, so we picked up the food ourselves and he provided the chafing dishes and Sternos. Food was ready as promised, and it was delicious!! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and chicken, Mac and cheese and collards. Our guests were very happy and so were we! Thanks, Todd, for the great experience!”

“My sister and I have been wanting to try this since my niece mentioned it. The setting is off the main road in a wooded area which makes for a very nice and tranquil environment. My burger was outstanding as was my sister’s Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Your order and pay for food and then can sit inside or outside, whatever is your preference. The Hidden Bean coffee shop that’s across the patio and down the stairs around the back of the building is also very nice. Will definitely be back, expecting it to be multiple times.”

“I’m obsessed with this sandwich that I found at another restaurant, an Avocado BLT with an Over Easy Egg on it. I decided to see if I could get it at this Eggs Up Restaurant in Boiling Springs, SC. Yes!!! The chef said it would be messy…..which I knew…..but she made it perfectly!!! I have been back again to get another one. So good!!! I will keep coming back too!!! This restaurant is SO CLEAN!!! The one in Greer, SC is so nasty that I cringed when I walked in the door!!! I’m so glad that I found the one in Boiling Springs!!!”

“Mike and I make an excuse to drive from Asheville, NC to Costco in Spartanburg, SC so we can have Sunday lunch at J&G's. Mike loves their fried chicken and I love their veggies, especially their fried okra and collard greens (I'm a vegetarian and they don't cook their veggies in meat or meat products!). From our first visit a few months ago and every visit since, everyone there, especially Bobby and John, make you feel like family. Mike has cancer so it's a good feeling to see him eat so well and enjoy himself so much. And don't forget the banana pudding...delicious!!”

The large cheese dip is the size of a small and comes with a tiny bag of chips that isn’t even enough for the small amount of dip for over $10.00. It must be some magical cheese. lol.”

“I was so excited to try a SmallCake! I was visiting family in Spartanburg and heard how great they were. I called two separate times to find out the available flavors and the young lady that answered the phone was so informative and friendly. When we arrived the next morning, we felt like we were intruding on this other staff person's time. We had to call out, hello, to the kitchen for her to come wait on us. When she did come, we greeted her not the other way around. She did not offer any explanations about the flavors as we clumsily figured out what we wanted. When she rang us up, I realized that it would cost the same amount to get a few more cupcakes to make a full dozen. The waiter should have informed us of that. Before I could get my wallet back into my purse after paying, the waitress went back into the kitchen without a word. My husband called out, Thank you, as we left. She responded from the kitchen.

The cupcakes were all delicious! I didn't care for the pink frosting, but that did not put a damper on my pastry experience. The lemon was just subtle enough in the lemon drop; yum! Cookies & cream, peanut butter, wedding cake, coconut, fudge, etc...all were sooo good.”

“I fully believe this to be the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and continued to clean as they went. The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.”

“My favorite place! This restaurant has amazing food, the kindest employees, beautiful decor, and the menu is super clean. My family is vegan and we had plenty of options (gasp!) and my parents aren’t vegan and they had plenty of options also! Their teas are amazing, you can ask for no sugar added, which is a huge plus. And they have a dressing that is gluten free- the sweet gotchu- and it’s loaded with flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough.”

“We LOVE whataburger in Texas and we’re excited to get one close to home. I went today for the first time and it was great! I got in and out quickly and the team was working diligently and was in good spirits. We recently had an opening of another restaurant where I live and they struggled with the pressure of influx of people and had bad attitudes. Whataburger employees were laughing and very polite and were handling the traffic well. Also, food is delicious! I wish I had their names so I could shout them out but there were so many helping that I couldn’t get one.”

“Recently got the Cranberry Truffle smoothie and it was delicious! One of the best smoothies I've ever had and I'm a smoothie love. It has a little tartness of cranberry, sweet strawberry, smooth yogurt and the taste of white chocolate to finish off a unique and flavorful smoothie. It's a holiday flavor but you can't go wrong with any of their smoothies. They also have really good wraps, flatbread sandwiches and salads! Definitely give em a try!”

I had an amazing experience getting the Fiji Island Breeze with Fat Burner smoothie! I came in after walking yesterday(9/24) afternoon and the staff, two sweet white girls, were super friendly and ready to take my order right away. While one started making my smoothie, they both kept up a great conversation with me and another customer who ordered a Lean Green. They even took the time to explain the differences between the two drinks, which was super helpful. The service was quick, and the smoothie was delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
