“We ordered curbside. I did the 16.99 special. I had steak, baked potato, salad, and a sliver of cheesecake. My steak was cooked to perfection...Best medium steak I've had in a while. My husband wasn't as enthused about his Alice Springs Chicken. He said it lacked flavor. The chicken could use some seasoning before putting the bacon and cheese on it.“
“I don’t typically leave bad reviews so I did not give bad rating but this was a horrible experience. Sunday afternoon w/half empty room and half the items we ordered were basically prepared already being prime rib & chili. Waited over 30 min for cold food. Clearly it sat waiting to be delivered. I paid, I tipped but will not be back. Bad experience!“
“Man, do I hate waiting for a seat at a restaurant. Anything more than 15 minutes I bolt. But, this weekend we had my daughters birthday and she wanted to go so we waited. After booking online, checking in when we arrived, and receiving a text saying we were next, we walked in to find we still had to wait, and we then were standing next to the front door in the way because 7 other groups are waiting too. Aaaaahhhhh!!! I pushed through, though, for my daughter's special day, and after about another 15 minutes in the doorway, we finally got sat. After that, everything was A++++. Service was great, the food was great, they even went all out and brought over the saddle for her to sit on while they did their birthday song! (She was too shy to get on), but I think they went above and beyond for our experience, and I wish I knew our waitresses' name because she was fantastic! I know now to try to eat dinner early if I don't want to wait, and it's not the restaurants fault all the Yankees and California's moved here and ruined our city! Thank you guys so much for the great birthday dinner for my daughter!“
“This was my first visit to The Peddler Steak House since they moved to Main St. (Spartanburg SC). We went for Valentine's Day dinner. The ambiance is warm and inviting. There is a great bar for table waiting or just to have drinks and appetizers. The cocktails are very good with specials for Happy Hour. The bartender is friendly. She Kept the drinks flowing while we waited for our table. (They did not take reservations on Valentines Day). There are no dinner menus. The server gives you a slip of paper to select your salad preferences and they create your salad (no longer have a salad bar).The amazing salad is huge. Then a raw whole ribeye is presented to your table and can be cut to your specifications, Or that person will verbally give you other entree options. (Prices are unknown) I felt like Our server was a little "pushy" with the appetizer and dessert offerings as she stated that we "didn't order appetizer or dessert." ( Hinting it was effecting the amount of her tip.) There was so much food and I had baked a beautiful dessert for us to enjoy when we returned home so we had more than enough food with a salad and steak. I will go back to The Peddler for special occasions or anytime to the bar for drinks and apps.“
“Started rough but ended amazing!!At 2:30 PM we were told a 15 minute wait. By 3:15 PM we were still waiting. We approached the hostess stand asking what’s was happening. The manager (Shamarlon) was also approaching at the same time. The last in front of me asked for him to come to thee hostess stand. Once he got there, he saw that MANY of us were getting uneasy with the wait time. The manager was AMAZING at communicating with customers about why wait time had been so long as well as meeting the needs of his customers. He never talked down on his employees just as he never got frustrated with customers. He got us all sat in a timely manner. Once we got sat the wait staff was phenomenal. We had Aaliyah as our waitress and she was perfect. Always at our side and catering to any need we had. She was outstanding just as the manager was. Today WELL worth the wait. The crew working today was awesome. Oh! The food was 10/10 as well. The wait was crappy but everything after was perfect.“
