“The restaurant was short staffed on the day we went. My best friend had her birthday party there, which was scheduled weeks ahead of time, and they were not staffed for the event. The manager on duty was also the cook and the food kept coming out incorrect. I'm so happy that I only ordered wings because the party was basically over before my food came and was actually over before a few of the other guests received their food. I have heard a lot of good things about this place and I loved the bartender and some of the regulars. I will try them again in the future, but I will definitely call ahead of time to make sure that they at least have servers plus all other essential staff on duty to help make it a more pleasant dining experience.“

Gotta marry a woman who'll choose The Beacon over a snooty five-star restaurant any day! Recommendations: everything but my go-tos or either the double chili-cheese with bacon or slice heavy on the red with a tea of course!“

“Charlie cooked while Meagan assisted me with the menu. It's extensive. Everything is short order cooked. I went there just to see what the place was like, there were already a lot of good reviews. Don't let the outside fool you, the place is clean and the food is delicious. I wasn't that hungry but I wolfed down my delicious flounder sandwich so fast I forgot to take a picture. The fries are crinkly fries. The coleslaw is standard. They have seafood, burgers, a gyro, and on and on. Dinners come with a small salad.

“I would like to say that I had an issue with a bartender one evening BUT Travis Donavan , manager, called me the very next day and gave me his full attention. This bar is one of Spartanburg’s most lovely settings in town and the food in restaurant is excellent. The staff has always been professional and friendly. Sometimes folks just have bad days…“

“I fully believe this to be the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and continued to clean as they went. The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.“

“My wife and I stopped in for breakfast this morning. We were greeted at the door by the smiling face of Nickkia, who also became our waitress. Nickkia helped guide us through the menu and told us about the specials. We both decided on one of the 6.00 breakfast specials . The food came to the table quickly and was hot and delicious. Nickkia kept checking on us and did a great job taking care of us. The restaurant was super clean, service was outstanding, great prices and great food. Bravo IHOP, job well done! “Everything was great. The only issue we had was the lady behind felt she could just jump in front of us so she and her party could order first because she was paying for all of them. Not the restaurants fault. They thought all of us were together. When they found out that was not the case. They apologized for the error. Again, it was not the workers fault. 100% the very rude lady and her party.“

“I adore this honey baked ham store on n. pine st. I dont know who worked the closing shift on 02/03/2026, but I will scream to the heavens they need a raise. I work at the hospital nearby and had not eaten all day. Remembered last minute I craved a tavern club, put in an order through Door dash. Only to realize they had 15mins till it closed. Thought HBH would cancel it, (wouldnt have been mad) but next thing I know, I get an alert that it had been picked up. They made it and it pretty and tasty! “Applebees is a go to favorite for a reason. Stopped there on a Friday night while traveling through SC. Immediately impressed. Greeted at the door, welcomed and seated almost immediately…even though they were pretty full. Our waitress was so nice. I had to take a brief work call, and she stepped away and waited patiently—so friendly and polite. Ordered drinks, which were excellent, the chicken taco appetizer—the slaw on them was delicious, and then a big steak. It was very fairly priced (maybe $24!) and cooked exactly as ordered. This Applebees did not disappoint!“

“I've been to this waffle House several times during the day in the evening and also early in the morning. Always fast clean service.

“We first visited The Terrace on Oct-17-2014. Got there around 6:00pm, while it was still daylight outside. Probably the worst thing I can say about the place was that it took 6 to 8 minutes before we were initially greeted outside; after that, literally everything was almost perfect. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the food (flatiron steak, salads, lobster spaghetti) was *outstanding* - I'm currently eating a small piece of leftover steak as I type this; steak is almost never very good when re-heated, but it's still juicy and flavorful. The atmosphere was top-notch, with a pleasant breeze, fireside seats, and an outstanding view. We will definitely be back, on special occasions. :-)“

I almost don’t even want to post this because I’m trying to gatekeep this place 😭 but credit where it’s due…
Pulled up to K-pop and the parking lot was EMPTY… employee outside smoking a cigarette… and I already knew the food was about to go crazy 😂
Walked in, had the whole place to ourselves (perfect), and Nikki at the register was cool as hell — super friendly, made us feel right at home.
Now the food… we went overboard on purpose:
Crispy fish sandwiches loaded with lettuce, tomato, and onion (perfect ratio too) on soft buns
Seasoned fries that disappeared immediately
Wings two ways — sauced and dusted, both hitting hard
Extra sauces because why not
Everything was hot, fresh, and way better than expected. We fully planned to have leftovers… didn’t happen. Plates CLEAN.
Honestly don’t know how this place isn’t packed, but I’m not complaining 😂

“We stopped in on our way to TN from FL. We were a little late in the morning, however, the counter girl went out of her way to make me fresh cup of coffee and answered all of our endless questions. We ordered the cinnamon sugar bagel toasted and buttered. It did not disappoint, the bagel had plenty of crystallized sugar on the outside and with a wonderful surprise of cinnamon pockets on the inside. The husband ordered the cheese everything bagel with egg and ham, and he was in heaven!

“Got here a few minutes before opening and there was a line. Very cordial and fast moving as they had 2 greeters and registers going. Plenty of parking. Waitress I had was Jennifer…very friendly and always checked in to see if everyone in her section needed anything..don’t have to worry about running out of beverage, as she was on top of it. Food - everything was hot and fresh..which is a very welcoming appeal to buffets, as sometimes when they first open..warmers aren’t always hot. The popcorn shrimp was a little crispier than what I like..but that’s just me and I won’t discredit them for that. Desserts…holy whoa..they “fudge brownie”…heaven on a plate. It’s the standard run of the mill Golden Corral buffet options but something about this one here in Spartanburg seemed different. It’s like they all have a friendly tone to them and it’s just very welcoming overall. I will be back and definitely give this a 5*.“

“I cannot give enough praise for the service we received this evening by our server, Meleny. She is tremendous! I swear she can read minds because we never had to ask for anything, she just knew how to make this the best dinner possible. Fresh rolls, plenty of sauces, never an empty cup, picture perfect plate presentations; you name it! On top of that, her personality is one of a kind. She is so bright and by the end of the meal I felt like we could be best friends. Texas Roadhouse always has excellent food but this was the best experience dining out anywhere because of Meleny's service. We will be making the drive from Simpsonville to Spartanburg far more often now because of her. She handles the service industry so well; always keeping a smile on her face even when the restaurant stays so busy. My husband ordered the filet medallions with green beans and chilli and I ordered the smothered chicken with broccoli and a salad. I highly recommend both dishes.“
