“I went through the drive thru and the young man working the drive thru is so sweet. He takes his time, makes sure your order is correct, and asks how your day is going (and he genuinely wants to know). The food is always good. We go there often. My husband gets the cheeseburger and I do too sometimes. I got the shrimp basket this time. There was a lot of crispy, fried shrimp, baked potato, hushpuppies, and coleslaw. I think it's only $7 so it was definitely worth it.“

The menu is much too big for good business and hard for customers to keep up with the many menu changes, it should be cut down quite alot. They do have lunch and dinner specials. But as a customer, meatloaf, catfish and several sides were good. However, our fried chicken came out very dry and barely room temperature. Same as 1 of the sides, not hot at all. For those of us who like our food hot, that was disappointing. We will try it a few more times to get an accurate feel. It's of very popular opinion here as well.“

I had the 4 “veggie”plate (Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried okra) and my friend has chicken tenders with fries. Great service also. I can’t wait to come back!“

They were crazy busy but made every sandwich correctly, all the food was piping hot, they kept the custard cold until pickup, and had it all together exactly on time. This was such a relief after almost a week without power in our area from Hurricane Helene. They were out of a few condiments/toppings for the burger but it was delicious without them.

They were busy and therefore slow service but I don’t hold that against them. They were a little short staffed for the rush.

“If you're into trying to relax, grab a bite and a beer, this is not the place for you. Non-stop screaming kids running rampant kicking balls everywhere while their "parents" ignore and drink all night. Absolutely horrible. The Growel caters to this type of customer and not to adults trying to relax. Also, you better be a dog lover because there going to sniff your crotch and get all in your space all the while the owners think theyre soooo cute. Kids and dogs! Must contribute so much to their revenues“

“In my 58 years of living in Spartanburg and passing Holmes hundreds, maybe thousands of times, today was the first time I had eaten there. Honestly, my homemade chili is better, but theirs is way better than a lot of places. I like the simplicity of their menu, and sitting there kinda took me back. The nostalgia of sitting in an old timey dinner was kinda nice.

Kid-friendliness: I didn't see any kids, but I'm guessing they are in school.

“Food is pretty good but it's annoying to sit and watch 2 girls at the hostess stand constantly messaging on their phones and giggling every second they're not seating someone. “Coming from the Northeast, it’s truly hard to find pizza that matches what I’m used to in the northeast. Frankie NY is truly like the Northeast pizza and I highly recommend them. Never had a bad pie and the service is very good. Thin crust, just the right amount of ingredients on the pizza makes this a top pizza place for me here in the upstate.“
