“The atmosphere is clean, food is fair nothing fancy. I had the hamburger steak as well as the potato salad and coleslaw. It was all really good. My mom had a chili cheeseburger that was just okay because the chili on top just looked like browned hamburger with not much flavor. All-in-one wasn't bad and the prices were pretty good. I'd probably go back.“

“First time eating here tonight. The bread is amazing, great salad! The steak was really good. Started with fried green tomatoes and they had absolutely no flavor. I couldn’t even eat them, so I was a little disappointed there. The server Luke was awesome as well.“

“The old Country Pride. The new abbreviated menu is the same. The steaks are very good. The service is top tier. I pulled a 34 here. Coin operated laundry is $3 wash/ dry. I pulled some time in the shop ( fuel filter change, tractor lube, and some shine). I had a few meals, all were good. Coffee is hot, good , and plentiful. Went across the road and got a wash at the streaking beacon! It was a very productive reset. What did surprise me was all the litter in the lot. I didn't see anyone empty any of the waste bins but other than that it was a good break“

“Three of us are here on February 20,2026. Restaurant was clean inside and out. Employees were very friendly and especially Erica. We ordered three burgers,onion rings and cheese curds. Onion rings and cheese curds were very good . Hamburgers were very dry,bun’s bottom half was cold and the burger really had no flavor to it. . Not sure we will return.“

“First off, great staff!! They are very friendly, attentive, and accommodating.You are always greeted with a smile. The food is absolutely delicious. I always get at least 2 dozen raw oysters to start with a side of their cheesy grits, that taste like they came from my grandma's kitchen. I've been going there for years and have enjoyed every meal from sushi to steak, to smothered chicken to scallops. The food is phenomenal. Clearly the chefs take pride in every meal they prepared. Delicious food, portioned and priced right. The GBOH never disappoints. The backbone of the operation is Diane & Katie. They are always there and make you feel like family. I live in Florida and when I'm in South Carolina, after stopping to see family, my next stop is GBOH!!! LOVE IT!!“

“A must, must visit if you are in the area. Just a slight detour off the interstate and well worth it to visit a historic hot dog diner. This establishment has been serving the locals since 1953 when the mills flourished and folks needed a quick hot and affordable meal.
I went for the 2 dog plate with all the toppings (mustard, onions, and chilli) then I added coleslaw just cuz that is how I like them. The crinkle cut fries are crispy and hot... Everything was so good! I got them to go.ao I could sit outside on the picnic tables with my puppy. I do feel I missed out on sitting inside with the locals and the friendly staff who are so down to earth I felt like family stopping in.“

The food was very tasty and high quality food. I was down on my luck this Thanksgiving and this restaurant lifted this burden for Thanksgiving. “I fully believe this to be the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and continued to clean as they went. The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.“

“I have had breakfast and lunch several times and the server a Miss Taryn was extremely courteous and considerate. The food was enjoyable and atmosphere pleasant. Miss Taryn checked on our satisfaction with the food and always had a pleasant smile. I ask for her when I come she has made the meal more enjoyable. I have referred her especially to my friends that may come to this location.“

“Everything was great. The only issue we had was the lady behind felt she could just jump in front of us so she and her party could order first because she was paying for all of them. Not the restaurants fault. They thought all of us were together. When they found out that was not the case. They apologized for the error. Again, it was not the workers fault. 100% the very rude lady and her party.“

The three people working night of August 20th were so nice and friendly even though we unintentionally ended up being a bit difficult about how our eggs were cooked. “This is the BEST restuarant EVER to eat at. I havent ate here in a very long time ago, around 2001vqas the last time that I ate here, and i dont live in South Carolina anymore, i live in North Carolina and soon I will be planning to take a trip to South Carolina with my parents just to eat at Pete's. Thank you for staying in business but I always knew that you guys would stay open, even when I was a little girl, I knew that I would never forget this place and no matter what happened to me I would make sure when I did come back to South Carolina for visits i would always stop into at Pete's for the famous French fries and the jumbo chili cheeseburger with the onion ring.“

“Everyone there is really friendly. They get busy so might have to be patient, but the staff is good. Place is clean, wheelchair accessible, good food too. They're also great about taking anything back and making sure you have what you want.“

“Applebees is a go to favorite for a reason. Stopped there on a Friday night while traveling through SC. Immediately impressed. Greeted at the door, welcomed and seated almost immediately…even though they were pretty full. Our waitress was so nice. I had to take a brief work call, and she stepped away and waited patiently—so friendly and polite. Ordered drinks, which were excellent, the chicken taco appetizer—the slaw on them was delicious, and then a big steak. It was very fairly priced (maybe $24!) and cooked exactly as ordered. This Applebees did not disappoint!“
