“First time at Tandem. Lunch with old friends. I had the savory Club crêpe. I will definitely return to try out their sweet crêpes. Convenient to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, so there are a lot of hikers and cyclists there for lunch.March 20, 2024. Met friends and had the sausage potato crepe. Delicious.“
“I have to start out by saying this place brings you back to your southern roots from the moment you walk in the door. Such a cool spot with local artists painting on the wall and some really old and neat decor. I have had their breakfast here several times and their Driver omelette is amazing. Today we went for lunch and heard that they are famous for their tomato pie. After trying it, I can definitely see why!!! It is a quiche baked into a flakey pie crust (like chicken pot pie) with sliced oven roasted homegrown tomatoes seasoned to perfection. This is the best thing I have ordered from here by far. I had Mac and cheese which was ok but their collared greens and sweet potato casserole were great! The servers are great with fast southern style service that makes you feel like you are part of the family. If you are wanting a great breakfast or lunch with amazing food and people, The Hungry Drover is the place to be! Make sure before you leave, you buy a homemade cinnamon roll that is so sweet and fresh and the size of a dinner plate. Highly recommend“
“This place is amazing. We came for a bday dinner w 10 girls...I could see how this place even better with having dinner or drinks outside when it gets warm.. we still managed to take great pictures. I put 4 for service only be cause I and my friends asked how much was a bottle of wine just be cause most of us has been drinking the same rose by the glass and we wanted a bottle. Asked 4 different times and we never got a response. I don't get why such a big secret.. we still got a bottle. FOOD had amazing taste , we all loved it! I'm putting few pictures.“
“Restaurant and outside seating, food and service was super. My only complaint regarding Chicora is 1 handicap spot. Come on, that should be embarrassing because the majority of the parking when busy ends up across the street.Parking: See prior comment. 1 handicap spot is definitely not enough“
“Great first experience! We got the chicken piccata and Chilean sea bass and both were delicious. Plenty of capers and a generous amount of sauce on the piccata. Sea bass was melt-in-your-mouth good. Food was piping hot and drinks were perfect. Will definitely be back!Parking: Easy parking“
“I'm definitely dropping 5 stars for North West Grill In Travelers Rest South Carolina! From the time I walked in I knew this was going to be a good run for me. I love the old fashioned places & I always know with places like this the food is going to be good! Mr John hands down you got the best burger ? in the Upstate! This small place is a BIG GEM ?! I had my mouth set on a juicy delicious burger & you provided everything I expected! On the way I was checking out the burgers posted on maps and it stole me instantly! I ordered the smoked Gouda Pimento cheese Bacon cheeseburger and my lord ? yes you gotta cut them burgers in half! It was delicious! I recommend 10/10! The fries were delicious and they don't need any seasoning to me, they are old fashioned cut home fries and they are delicious! I put vinegar on my fries and it took my back to the fair days I have had in Shelby NC with the vinegar fries. You nailed those fries! I also ordered Onion rings and they were delicious as well. My friend got the country fried steak and gravy mash potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese, and the slaw is perfect. It's creamy mayonnaise based and vinegar and I love it! We also got a hunk of chocolate cake which I was stuffed and could only take a couple bites of but it was delicious. I want the hummingbird cake when I come back it was sold out but I just know it's good! I also ordered 2 hotdogs to go and I ate them later that night. They were slamming! Thank you Amber for making those and providing good service to us! I met some good people over the weekend here and I'll definitely be back to see you! I also signed and put my $1 on the wall as you walk in it's right to the right! CarolinasSweetTea!! I can't wait to come back and see y'all! Everything was delicious! You deserve 5 stars and I'd give 100 if it was a choice! Out of all the places I've been here in the upstate this topped it off. The Best! I'm a country woman so I fit right on in here! The decor the food the service everything was great! Get that REV BENNY and that pimento bacon cheeseburger! That's what you want!Vegetarian options: You can order salads!Parking: If it's packed be prepared for it but I think you'll be okKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Small place but I'm pretty sure they will accommodate you no problem“
“We ate dinner one night. The people were friendly and helpful. The food was great. They are not open all day every day, so check the times before you go. We will definitely return to get more of their food. We really enjoyed the food we ordered.“
“The restaurant sits directly off the highway not as I thought (tucked in a side road, more country). Having said that, we were there for breakfast 1) the place was spotless, clean! 2) food was good, right out of Grandma's kitchen 3) service was prompt and friendly.“
“Love coming here, a local favourite. Their offerings are very bready in nature so we don’t come here all the time, but every once in awhile. They have breakfast stuff, lunch sandwiches, and bakery sweets but also have hours that go past dinner time, which is sometimes really helpful. Their bakery items are OK but I imagine some people would consider them amazing. We love sitting in their outside patio when the weather is nice. It’s a little shoddy and in need of some updates or renovations though. The tables and chairs look secondhand. The patio wood needs painted or replaced. The side of the building is full of electrical work that seems piecemealed together with no thought to aesthetics, especially with it being on the customers’ side. But, it feels cozy, snug, and in the heart of downtown TR. The outdoor atmosphere feels more like a privately owned hole in the wall rather than a rundown establishment. I think they might even do live music on the weekends. And their garden area by the patio is usually really pretty. One thing I would recommend, outside aesthetics aside, is having more side options to the sandwiches. It has expanded over the years but sometimes choosing between fried oily chips or vegetables as a side isn’t at all appealing.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options which are clearly labeled“
“Told by family we had to try this place and boy did it live up to the hype. Delightful food with a great message behind it, everything we had was top notch. Highly recommend visiting when there is live music, really added to the experience. Service was extremely friendly and fun on top of it all. Lastly their cocktail selection was the cherry on top. A must try!“
