“Food was good, service was very good. The restaurant looked clean. As we were sitting and talking and eating our meal all of a sudden rap music starting playing. I don't listen to rap and I sure as heck don't want to hear it at 8:30 in the morning. No one went over to play it, there were a couple of tables of elderly people and us. So it may have been an employee or it just randomly plays now and then. So just as it started, it also stopped thankfully and we were able to enjoy the rest of our meal.“

“This was my first time to be at Waffle House. My daughter always steered me away from it because of the service reputation. We were on a road trip from northeast and passed by a nearby gas station, and i mentioned this place and people's rating for it, and finally she agreed to give it a shot. And she wasn't disappointed, let alone myself. People there are beyond awesome. So friendly, well wishers and hard working, helping with choices, keeping a good conversation running, all while preparing the food, which was fresh and tasty. I love this place, i recommend it, I'll go back whenever i drive by.“

“The food is delicious, but that’s not uncommon for Waffle House. What really sets this location on Garner Road in Spartanburg apart is the people who work there.

The service is consistently amazing. The employees have such a great rapport with one another that they genuinely feel like a family, and that positive energy carries over to the customers. Everyone makes you feel welcome. The restaurant is always clean, too.

It can be a little cold in there, but who cares if it keeps the cooks working at full capacity and the germs down? 😂 Besides, it’s kind of nice when you have those warm cups of coffee constantly flowing!

I also like to tip the waitstaff well just to see the smile in their eyes. They deserve it. The fact that they provide delicious, affordable food shouldn’t determine the tip they receive. Tips should be based on the level of service, not simply the size of the bill.

I started visiting this location because it’s close to the hospital and my mom’s doctor’s office, so I’ve made a little tradition of treating her to Waffle House after her appointments. I know it’s not exactly the healthiest option, but there is something to be said for comfort food that warms the soul. ❤

The same cook seems to always be there when we go, and he is really good. I’m not the only one who thinks so. My mom had never experienced Waffle House before our little outings, and now she thinks the food is absolutely top-notch and delicious.

And believe me, my mom is not easy to please. 😂 She tells you exactly what she thinks—whether you want to hear it or not! So when she compliments something, I know she means it.

I’ve also been there more than once when another customer has approached the cook just to compliment his cooking. That says a lot.

The entire staff deserves recognition. They work hard, have upbeat personalities, treat people well, and somehow create that feeling that you’re walking into a place where you’re welcome and cared for.

If any Waffle House in the county represents what the Waffle House brand is supposed to be, I’d say this one certainly does.

For my mom, when I give her the choice of where we’re going after her appointments, it’s hands-down Waffle House. And coming from her, that is one heck of a compliment. 😂❤

Keep up the good work, y’all. You’re doing a great job, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Excellent experience at the Waffle House on Pottery Rd in Spartanburg!
The workers move in perfect sequence — everyone works together smoothly and efficiently, even during busy times. You can really see the teamwork in action.

The waitress’s customer service was superb — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Orders were accurate and the food came out hot and fast.

And thank God for Waffle House always being available to accommodate us. This location consistently comes through. Great job to the entire team! This was the night shift on December 25, 2025

“We came in while the staff was cleaning and restocking, and they greeted us so warmly that it was like each employee was personally happy to see us. When our food came out everything was amazing. Hashbrowns? Crispy. Eggs? Perfect. Throughout the entire interaction the staff checked in on us. We had several short conversations and it felt like we were old friends catching up in a grocery store. We of course left a large tip, but this was genuinely one of the best Waffle House experiences I’ve ever had, which is really saying something. I’m a regular at three locations, and whenever I’m in the area I’ll be coming back to this one as well.“

“This Waffle House is awesome. Every time we come in the food is consistently good and the most surprising is the service. The team here goes above and beyond. Today for example, my wife was meeting me for a late brekkie, I ordered for her. The food was ready a bit before she arrived. The server brought the food out, covered by another plate so that it wouldn’t get cold. We didn’t ask him to do that. He just did it. You kinda don’t expect this level of service at a Waffle House but this one delivers top notch, good restaurant level service every time. Best Waffle House ever!“

“They see my car pull in, every weekend, and this is the kind of presentation I get (from Wendi) when I walk in....I was touched....I wasn't prepared for it. The steak and eggs I had the other night were just what the doctor ordered at the time.“

“All waffle houses really are basically the same but they're that way by design. This is a great location and like anything there's waffle houses after 1 visit I'd never go back to that location and then there are ones that get everything right and this is one of those locations. Great food, great service and great cook. This is one of the good ones!“
