“I have always enjoyed coming to Mon Amie and have highly recommended it to dozens of people. My early birthday breakfast with my cousin was nothing short of amazing until we were very rudely interrupted by the hostess. She proceeded to ask us about our meal as if she really cared, then very abruptly told us to basically leave because there was a party outside with a baby that needed to be seated because of the very cold weather. I love babies and while I hate to think of it being exposed to cold weather, that's not our problem. My cousin drove an hour to eat with me and we were treated as if their discomfort was our emergency and we needed to act accordingly. This was my cousin's very first experience in this restaurant and probably her last! Our dining experience matters just as much as the next person's, please do better! I want to stress the fact that we were not asked nicely, we were told. Demanded if you will! And yes we are black and they weren't! When I spotted the family with the baby I could see that they were sitting directly beside the heat lamp on the patio and they seem to be enjoying conversation amongst each other, so it was definitely the hostess that did everything besides basically push us out the door! Needless to say we moved on before we were ready to because we will not be where we aren't wanted!“
