Pretty cool little spot downtown spartanburg. The bartender didn’t speak or welcome us. We had never been there before so we had to figure out the concept on our own. But I would describe it as “relaxed and chill”

This place is super cozy, the assortment of couches and chairs and the upstairs loft area really makes you feel comfy and at home. Not to mention their beer selection is vast and well organized with an easy to read color system. Lastly, the bar tenders were very knowledgeable and helpful. Glad we found this place!

Growler Haus has a great selection of beers. This is a really comfortable place to pass some time also. They have great furniture, games, and televisions. The people are always accommodating as well.

I am 22 years old and I have three different forms of ID. Was told 2 separate times my ID was not real, was embarrassed in front of a bar of people, and then the bartenders were discussing afterwards quite extensively. Was thrown out after I provided more forms of ID on the pretense that "once I said it was fake, it still was fake"... awful service, childish bartenders. Annnnnnd all I wanted was a beer. Really faux-draft house atmosphere... Don't go to this place if you want to have a good time, go if you want subpar service!! PS: Even though they are super worried about real ID's, they have no scanner. Immediately when told my ID was fake, I said to scan it. They didn't have a scanner. So worried about ID validity yet don't even have an ID scanner. Would give this place less than 0 stars if I could.

We have been to the Growler Haus many times without problem, but tonight the server claimed that one person (who has been here several times before) in our group had a fake ID. He went to his car and got a second form of valid ID and came back and they refused to look at his ID saying "we already told you we won't serve you." The person in question was 22 years old. We will not be returning to a bar that refuses to look at an ID just because they think that someone looks under the age of 21.

We came to meet friends for Wednesday night trivia and had a great time! The atmosphere was super chill and had a very laid back vibe. We settled into a very comfortable couch seating area that made us feel right at home. The beer selection was top notch and the food was AMAZING. The prices were reasonable, if not cheap for such a great quality location. Covid measures seemed to be in place and everyone was adequately distanced. It was our first time there and we would definitely come back again!
