My son & I ate at Hub City Chicken on 07/16/2025 & were very disappointed! The livers were supposed to be fresh cooked but were cold, okra was cold, fries were cold!!! The only thing good was my son’s baked beans & potato crunch! Before when we ate there, few years ago, the food was always good! The lady at the register was very friendly and nice.

Just ate lunch here for the first time. I was greeted by a very polite woman who took my order. I got the tenders little wedges and Mac and cheese. 10 out of 10 recommended! Chicken was tender and juicy. I’ll be back!

Chicken is very good as well as the sweet potato crunch. The Mac n cheese was mushy though. Also we got the banana pudding based on reviews but honestly the only thing it is was vanilla pudding and bananas. Not one cookie in it, unless you want to count the 1/2 tsp crumbs on top. The only way to taste the banana was to eat one in it. Very disappointed with that. Sweet potato crunch was awesome though. A little put off by the building..paint peeling and very dirty looking. Not sure why they don't take care of it.

I've known Bubba since 1969, so I may be a little biased. The chicken tenders are plump and juicy and huge. Two of them should easily make up a whole chicken breast.
I've been a fan of fried chicken livers since my dad introduced me to them in my early teens probably before. But they have to be done right or else I will reject them outright. This is currently the only place in Spartanburg where I will trust them enough to try the livers I am absolutely done with everybody else and their quality and the bitter taste.
The sweet potato crunch is to die for and I've had it around the country and nothing compares. Yes, it's that good, go get you some! All of the sides are great and the onion is like a blooming onion from that steakhouse place. Green beans just like I like them just like my mom used to make.
Covid was really rough on small businesses and this place certainly was affected. Bubba keeps this great food flowing.
Pretty much the same people working there. Just as friendly and of course the food is just as fantastic.
If you are in Spartanburg don't miss out on this little gem of a place just South of the crossroads of East Main and Pine Streets.

This place has changed! The food is horrible it is not the same Hub City Chicken. The cooks are young and have no idea what they are doing. I was frequently eating Hub City before the change and it was amazing. I will not be returning!
