Konnichiwa of Spartanburg

Jack (from Singapore) was extremely attentive, kind and efficient…and it was a busy Friday night. The food was great, fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed our bento 🍱 box and sushi 🍣!!

Never had any issues with service, food, or atmosphere. They always welcome my boyfriend and I with big smiles and serve us well! This place is in our weekly rotation at least 1-2 times!

This may become my go to Konnichiwa. Both locations I reviewed are great but this is just a nicer location downtown. Food was perfect and our server was great and on top of things. Highly recommend.

We visited on Saturday 8/16 for dinner and sat at a booth at the very back. The server was very inattentive to us once we placed our order. My mom ran out of water three times (I kept refilling her water from my cup), I never got my glass of wine & my father never got his beer, had to ask another table for bottles of sauce because she didn't bring them, and it took probably 20 min for us to get our check. The food was spectacular, but the service could have been much better.

Konnichiwa is our go-to spot in downtown Spartanburg, especially when my wife and I can’t decide on where to eat, it never disappoints! The lobster roll is absolutely AMAZING, easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Even the chicken wings here are surprisingly good, crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The sushi is always fresh, the staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back and inviting. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi or something casual, Konnichiwa always hits the spot!

The guy from Vietnam and the waitress from Singapore was amazing.... super generous and gentle. Food super good 👌

I came here for the 1st time upon entering the restaurant we came in and stood there for a brief moment while not being acknowledged we went ahead and took a seat and waited, some more customers came in they proceeded to take their order and bring them drinks before we walked out due to the fact that they watched us yet never attended us and they didn’t appear busy then

I came in with high hopes, but the service was honestly terrible. I ordered a soda that was completely watered down, and when I asked for a new one, it took over 10 minutes to get it--despite staff standing around and clearly seeing me waiting. The replacement soda was even more watered down than the first. It looks like sweet tea.

No one checked on us again after that. Our server avoided eye contact and had an attitude the entire time. When we tried to order more food, she ignored us completely. We told another server what we wanted, and she said she'd let our server know--but nothing ever happened.

It was especially frustrating because the restaurant wasn't even busy. The table behind us was being constantly checked on, the staff were chatting with them, taking pictures, and giving them all the attention.

As women ourselves, it honestly felt like the female servers were deliberately ignoring us--almost like there was attitude involved for no reason. We were polite the entire time, so there was no excuse for that kind of behavior.

This made the entire experience uncomfortable and awkward. We won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place if you care about respectful service.

Hibachi is spectacular and the sushi rolls are well done.
I ordered a scallop bowl, the scallops were flavorful and had a perfect texture.
Hornet roll was good, though not spicy.
My buddy got a rainbow roll and it was plenty in flavor and freshness.
My other buddy ordered a Marina roll and it was delicious.

Overall, great food and great pricing.

Really nice place in a nice looking small city. Wish I lived close id definitely be a regular.
