Ate here a few days ago. Unfortunately it was my first and last time. Nothing was explained on how things work here until I asked. It was over an hour in and had basically what looked like old salad. We were outside and guy that comes out with the meat still hadn’t come out. Ended up ordering something else on menu. The steak was burned and no seasoning, potatoes were blah. Felt bad for our waiter because we weren’t the only ones dissatisfied. Guy behind us had to send his steak back twice because it was undercooked…this is a steakhouse and can’t seem to cook steak properly.

Rotten meat. We’ve been coming here for years for special occasions but will never be back. My steak was rotten and my husband’s steak was completely different than it usually is. They must of changed cooking methods. Price does not reflect quality. I can cook just as good at home for 1/4 of the price. Service was good but that was about all.

Great service that unfortunately ended there. the whole verbal menu is awkward especially when they don't tell you and you're waiting for a menu then when asked you have to wait for someone not your waiter to come around and tell you the entire menu. Filet and bone in ribeye were both overcooked.. med rare was med well.. steaks were flavorful but chewy and dry. Salad and bread were great but unfortunately we won't be coming here again for steaks.

My husband and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary at the peddler this past Friday. Our server Bri was phenomenal to say the least. She was very attentive to our needs and made the night honestly magical. Her energy exuded nothing short of beautiful inside and out. We will be back requesting her in the future.

Arrived at 8:30 and steaks weren’t brought out until 9:33 pm. The server had already asked if we wanted more bread while we were waiting and I told her no, just wanted our steaks. Another server brought the steaks at 9:33 and when I said something about the wait she said our order wasn’t taken until 9:17 and I was getting my food at 9:30. I told her that was wrong and to go back and check and she did and had to come tell me it was actually turned in at 8:52 pm but offered no apologies for the wait and a manager certainly didn’t offer to stop by with an apology. We have dined here several times but that will be the last time. The restaurant wasn’t busy and diners that placed their orders shortly before us had received their food and finished it and were leaving while we were waiting on ours.

Steak was overcooked and zero seasoning. Sad I had to ask for A1.

Unfortunately they do not know how to cook a filet . I ordered medium, served well done. Waitress and staff agreed and requested they re cook. This time it was rare. Waitress could not believe what she was looking at because it was so rare. It's a shame the cook doesn't come out to apologize and the Waitress has to account for a cook that doesn't know how to cook a steak.

We were shown to table upstairs. There was no menu, the waiter came and just talked fast about what the menu is, not good enough as not know what food allergies on menu, we asked for menu which they were hesitant to give on looking at the menu it was so pricy! We didn’t order and left. Also we had a deaf couple and they do need see menu we could not catch every word waiter saying. Would not eat there.

We have been coming here since 1979. Celebrating our 45th Anniversary tonight for tomorrow's actual anniversary date. An added treat. Peddler pie!!!! Food was excellent as always!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10 stars if I could!)

This was my first time dining at The Peddler Steakhouse in Spartanburg, and while the food was absolutely deelish, what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service I received from a waitress named Bri.

She was courteous, prompt, professional, and incredibly sweet and soft-spoken—such a pleasure to talk to. Her attentiveness and warm personality made the evening feel extra special. Her service was nothing short of top tier.

The food was great, but the service was AMAZING. When I return, I’ll definitely be requesting to sit in her section again.

If you’re ever in Spartanburg, SC, do yourself a favor and visit The Peddler—and ask for Bri. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was cold. Service was good. Ranch was great. Atmosphere felt like a time loop from the 1980s.

We had the best waiter ever! His name is Alex. He went above and beyond to make our 42nd anniversary a special celebration. The Peddler pie was on the house since it was a special occasion. Delicious! Our steaks were superb! Did I mention our great waiter? It is an excellent start for our 43rd year.
