Rigsby's Smoked Burgers, Wings & Grill

We had a wonderful server who provided quick and accurate service to a party of 14-15 people by herself. The food was excellent. This was my first visit here. I will definitly be back.

I hate to write this, but after our most recent visit, it feels like Rigsby’s has really lost the spark it had when it first opened.

I’ve been coming here for client lunches since day one. Back then, the bartenders were pleasant, the atmosphere felt intentional, and the food was genuinely top-tier while the original chef was still in-house. It had potential to become a go-to spot in Spartanburg.

Fast forward to this Sunday: my daughter and I walked in at 11am as the first customers of the day and took our usual high-top on the bar side. Immediately, the bartender told us we needed to be seated by the hostess...a policy that has never existed in all the times I’ve come here. We watched several other guests walk in afterward and get the same correction, clearly confused. By the time we left, the bar entrance had been locked altogether.

The atmosphere didn’t help. On a day when the final college football rankings were being released and NFL kickoff was gearing up, the giant TV was showing random YouTube like “funny fails,” cute cat clips, and retro VH1 videos. It felt chaotic and disconnected from the experience you expect at a bar/restaurant.

Food was fine... chain-restaurant level now. Unfortunately, this is the third disappointing visit in a row. The decline has became hard to ignore.

As much as I enjoyed this place in the early days, I won’t be back and won’t be recommending it.

Not the one in South Carolina.

We come to town often for medical reasons. But we can never go home without a stop here. We have been coming for about five years now. Last night instead o staying in eating the good food at the hotel , we decided to come here since we were leaving going back home tomorrow. I was so excited when we first walked it. We were put at a booth not far from the bar . We sat there for 30 to 40 minutes. No one came to wait on us. The bar tender glanced our way a few times but kept engaging in small talk with the people around the bar. Talking, taking photos and what not. Finally, a young, friendly looking black waiter came by and asked had we been waited on.. he went to let the waiter know we were there. Of course, it was the same bar tender who looked our way several times but never came over. She could have atleast said, someone will be there in a moment. Nevertheless thanks to him for being so kind and understanding. The bar tender ( a white, tall, girl with dark roots, and an unpleasant look on her face) she was cold and stand offish but treated the table across from us wirh kindness. I am not sure if I will ever sit foot in this place again after such poor treatment. She noticeably refused to take our order.. I am not sure what she said to the waiter to get him to do it instead, but he looked kind of disappointed, but still stayed professional and polite. Our order taken, food served- but my extra crispy wings came out damn near raw with a little sauce poured over them. I almost threw up. I had to take Zofran at the table to keep from hurling. The young male waiter handled it with grace but we should have left the moment we sat there so long waiting on the bartender to come... sad.

Doesn’t take orders on the phone, nuff said.

The scenery is very breathtaking. It's really a beautiful setup. The food was hot and good. The service time is a little slow but it was kind of crowded. Definitely a place to check out.

fire and rehire all of your servers at North Liberty Street

I had the Rigsby’s Food Truck come to my work today. They were very easy to schedule. The staff and residents loved it. I had the garlic Parmesan wings and the fries. Everything was wonderful. They had plenty of options for everyone. The service was amazing.

I just paid 16.25 for a chicken wrap! We got 2 so times that by 2. I get food prices are going up but 16.25 for a WRAP?? It was mediocre at best. Never again! And they won’t do take out orders over the phone so you have to go in to order and wait.

Wife and I had an excellent lunch ... burgers, wings and shrimp... all was.delicious and service was excellent.

We came in and one of the hostess had the worst attitude. She got all mad because she needed to clean off tables. So she was mad that she had to do her job. She gave the worst attitude and rolled her eyes and told the other waitress to sit us down. Made us feel uninvited. Would not recomend to go here the hostess hate their jobs. The waitress was top notch.

Food and atmosphere was great. Service was not so good. Not sure if they were short staffed or not. We were sat down but had to go get someone to get our drink order put in. Put in food order and food was great but when I ask if the fries were cooked in the same grease as the shrimp because of food allergies the cook said yes but it doesn’t bother him so I should be good ! I was offered another side but never received it.
