Hands down, this is the place to get donuts and breakfast sandwiches in Spartanburg. Wow absolutely delicious! This is the new spot.

Out of all the Shipleys we have visited this one is the best. Totally worth a 2 hour drive. The cook is absolutely amazing and was very accommodating to our needs. Fresh and delicious items with great service is always very appealing.

First time visit to Shipley's. In all honesty, I will not be back. The service was friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere appeared clean. However, my problem lies with the overall taste of the products. In terms of donuts, these were not flavorful.

We happened upon this restaurant, looking for a quick breakfast. We did two of the breakfast duos with a Kolache and donut each. The Kolache dough is AMAZING!! [A mix between a Texas Roadhouse roll and a crescent rolls, in my opinion]. The apple donut was the best apple donut I've EVER had. Cappuccino was a 10/10!! Service was impeccable [very attentive, friendly, quick, and efficient]!

Coming from Texas, this was my first experience at a Shipley's out of state. I've got to say, Antron sure made me feel like I was at home. Fantastic attitude and amazing food. Y'all go see Antron. He's the best!!!!

This was our first time and we will definitely come back. The service here was above and beyond. The nicest people. The kolaches and donuts were delicious and prices were great. Again, can not express enough how wonderful the customer service was!!!

Shipley’s in Spartanburg: decent donuts, stellar vanilla-filled, and kolaches that smell like they came from witness protection.

Rolled into Shipley’s in Spartanburg last Saturday just after open. Only one guy working, but he was friendly, chatty, and clearly doing it all. Grabbed a dozen assorted—overall, not bad, but not gonna win any donut Oscars. Chocolate? Needs a glow-up. Boston crème? Let’s just say… no thanks.

The vanilla-filled powdered sugar, though? That was my happy place—pure nostalgia in pastry form.

Biggest downside? The kolaches. I don’t know what extinct animals carcass is in them, but the smell could chase a raccoon out of a dumpster. Honestly, take that ish back up to Minnesota or somewhere far, far away.

We had never tried a Shipley Do-Nut, but were impressed with the freshness and taste of the ones we ordered. You have to get a fresh made apple fritter if nothing else. Awesome! The savory breakfast kolaches were a nice surprise too. Service was very good. The atmosphere was lacking since it's basically a fast food joint. The music was too loud and made it hard to even hear the cashier taking my order, but the staff was extra nice and even cooked the apple fritter fresh for us to enjoy. Will return when back in the area.
