I went 20 minutes out of my way to visit this coffee shop. It was a waste of time and money. I ordered a cold brew with Carmel, with some cream. I got cream and Carmel not sure if I actually got any coffee. The server said, “I hope it’s good” when she handed me the drink. It obviously was not. The place was not clean and I would not recommend this place.

As for the comment from the owner. I did NOT ask for plenty of cream. She asked if I wanted cream and I said yes.

As for the not having time to clean up. I would have thought she would have been cleaning up when I walked in and she was not.

The hidden bean was the coolest coffee shop I've ever been to! I love history and seeing a speakeasy converted into something modern with the old charm was a nice touch. The menu was extremely vast
And the seating was unique. You can sit outside on a patio that over looks this gorgeous foresty valley or cuddle up inside at one of their tables. I am a big reader and coffee drinker, this place was the perfect combination for the two.

The Hidden Bean is a small, but cute little place. The coffee shop is located at the bottom of the stairs. It is small, dark, with limited seating. Majority of the seating is outside. The parking lot is very small, carpooling is best when coming with a group or when busy and whenever The burger place is open. The views are beautiful. The breakfast items were good and the coffee was okay.
I will need to come back during the Spring and Summer time.

It would be a lot better if it was open when you arrived. It seems chill, Update your hours on maps. Says 7am-7pm showed up and no one was home.

Safari says 9am. But who goes on safari to check that anymore.

When the grilled cheese comes out unmelted and still cold from the fridge… also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that didn’t have any cheese. The coffee was delicious but wow, food could not have been worse.

Not sure why this place has high ratings. Maybe it was better in times past. The coffee Cafe is off of Hwy 29 and buried behind trees and brush. Fortunately they have "Open" banners near the road. It looked deserted when I arrive. I had to walk past a closed hamburger restaurant and down some stairs. Still I wasn't sure it was opened. The outdoor patio was not swept. It looked closed except a sign on the door stated it was opened. The interior is very small with a strong musty smell. I decided to try a mocha and chocolate chip muffin. The muffin was cold and appeared to be made at a mass bakery. Definitely not made from scratch. The mocha was below average. Unfortunately not a place I would visit again.

Parking: Parking up front and around the back side of the building.

Thank goodness a place that knows how to make a real Cuban Expresso. I will definitely be back. Yes I know what I’m talking about I’m from Miami. ☺️

This quaint coffee shop is nestled just below the Burgers & Bakery restaurant. What sets it apart is the incredible variety of coffee and drink options available. We opted for an iced chocolate mocha and a strawberry lemonade, both of which were wonderfully refreshing.

I’m mad I’ve lived her all my life and I’m just finding this place. This was absolutely incredible. I’m not a big burger person but I’ll be craving these burgers again!

We love to stop in here for a deliciously quiet coffee and tea in the morning before starting a volleyball tournament at the STAR center. We also enjoy stopping back by for lunch before heading out of town!

I really wanted to like this place, but my MIL’s coffee with cream, and my own latte, tasted spoiled (sour). We ended up throwing them out as we couldn’t even finish them. This was the first time any coffee place has ever tasted that way.I’m hoping maybe it was just a bad brewed coffee, or maybe the cream was somehow going bad? Either way I doubt we will try it again.

If you’re in “Sparkle City” aka Spartanburg and looking for a great latte or ice coffee, then look no further. Located off of Hwy 29, Hidden Bean is literally a Hidden Gem in terms of location and caffeinated offerings. It’s located in the basement of an old house, the atmosphere is quaint, eclectic and filled with the aroma of fresh baked goods.Give the Honey Latte a try. It’s not too sweet and topped with just the right amount of caramel drizzle.
