Cool place, but for vegetarians, it was sort of mediocre. The "mitch" is what I ordered. It had too many weird vegetables on it, which made it messy and hard to eat. But if you eat meat it is probably very good. It's still a cute little cafe.

I was looking for a quick bite and found the SamMitch Shop. My GPS took me to the back parking lot, but I wasn't sure who those parking spaces were for, so I decided to park in the public parking lot across the street, which offered 2 free hours. When I arrived, there was one person waiting on their food. Additionally, there was only one person taking and making the orders as well, so the service seemed a tad bit slow. The inside is pretty small with limited seating, but there was a bunch of seating outside. It was my turn to order and I opted for The Cherise and a bag of chips. Everything is al la carte. I had a water in the car, so while my sandwich was being made, I walked back to my car to get it. When I came back, I sat outside and waited for my sandwich to come out. I was able to eat almost a full bag of chips before it came. I may have been counting the minutes since I was really hungry, but it did seem to take awhile for it to come out. However, when it finally arrived, it was good and I enjoyed it. Overall, it was a pretty solid sandwich shop.

There’s a sandwich and then there’s a SAMMITCH.Just happened upon this quaint little shop, looking for a nice little lunch…..figured you can’t really mess up a sandwich.Well, let me tell you………. This is not just a “sandwich”.It’s not often you can tell a difference in bread, meat, cheese, etc……. You sure as heck can.Truly an exceptional sandwich.Oh, and not a small sandwich either.Picture is 1/2 of what was served.

This place is within walking distance of where I live so we decided to pop in to try it today. I’m so bummed that we haven’t been coming here sooner! It’s SO SO good! The tomato bisque was creamy and full of flavor and paired perfectly with “the Zack” sandwich. My partner and I will definitely be back!

Delicious sandwiches. We ordered online and picked up. It was an easy process and everything was ready when we got there.

If you are in Spartanburg or just traveling and need to stop (we were headed to TN) this is a great lunch place. We had smashed sandwiches (pressed). The CoCo. The Luigi. The Mitch. The owner is accommodating as I needed to switch out an ingredient on the Mitch. This is Fresh. Delicious. Service is great. Support Locale! (The police, fire and city hall just got moved so she needs more local support for sure as they were right across the street! )

One of the best things you can ask for when you're visiting a new place is a great sandwich shop and The samMitch shop knocks this out of the park! It has an amazing selection of sandwich's and the sides are homemade. Normally when you find a great sandwich shop they usually have just the have a few chip options to choose from which never live up to a great sandwich... but at the SamMitch shop the house made sides leave you wondering which was the best part of the meal!

Great food 10 out of 10 would recommen. They have awesome sandwiches and tomatoe soup with sourdough bread, my personal fav is "The Lugi" and you have to ask for the spicy homemade mayonnaise. Now hear me out it is good also get the salt and vinegar chips or the jalapeño chip both are very good. So yeah. Come to downtown spartburg and try it out for yourself ?Kid-friendliness: Nice people and not rude

We visited in October. My husband had The Jules with Pasta Salad and I got the Consuela with Chickpea Salad. It was very good. We will split a meal the next time we go, though, because I felt it was a bit pricey (almost $30) for 2 sandwiches and a 2 small cups of salad. Service was excellent but I was the only one in the restaurant at the time. It was a Wednesday evening around 8 pm. We took our food to go. I noticed while waiting for our order that they have a small but quaint dining area that I wouldn't mind dining in sometime. They also have an outdoor eating area. I recommend that you give The Samwich Shop a try!

Nice place downtown. Great sandwich taste delicious. Spicy mayo is spicy! Good prices for the size you get. Staff was really nice!

The cold cuts on the subs were really very salty (which made this a less desirable sandwich experience), but overall they were good, hearty sandwiches. (The pasta salad we ordered for our side was NOT good, though. We do not recommend.) Both my guest and myself agree that we would be willing to come here again, though, and perhaps try something different next time.Parking: Parking is REALLY scarce. There are maybe only...6-8 parking spots on the side of the establishment. Because of this, when it's busy, parking may become either really difficult or not available. I think because of its rather central location, the locals and people who work nearby might just walk to the shop.Kid-friendliness: You could bring kids; however, this place has more of a grown-up lunch vibe. There's not a lot of space at all either for kids to meander around as they oftentimes do. You could choose outdoor seating though if you wanted.Wheelchair accessibility: The tightness of the whole set-up, plus how the entrance/door is set-up seems like it'd not really make this establishment wheelchair friendly. It may prove to be difficult.
