“Wonderful stop on the road today. Googled this place each time we are headed to NC. But usually they are closed. Today we saw a line at the take out window & got good reviews from those waiting. But I went inside & saw a clean & inviting sitting atea. My order was taken by a smiling young lady that offered a greeting. we got Fresh HOT Fried Chicken, crispy & golden on the outside and juicy on the inside. Green beans & Lima beans were fresh & hotNext time I will try the Hamburger but we had only a few minutes to stop. An older building so the restroom was small but decent & had plenty of soap & paper towels. We will visit Mary's country kitchen again!Vegetarian options: List of fresh hot veggies!Parking: Lots of spots front & sideWheelchair accessibility: Space for handicap vehicles.”

“The name is actually Bell's Family Restaurant. The food was delicious, not overly seasoned. Hospitality greeted us at the door and throughout our visit. I recommend giving them a try.”

“I stopped in on my way to the springs and didn’t realize what a gem this place is. I ordered the Club Sandwich (which is my litmus test for any deli) and was completely blown away by how good it was. A great country store with a great deli and even better staff.”

“This place is all kinds of great! The staff were welcoming and the food portions are large. I'm fairly picky with meats, but their meatloaf with stewed tomatoes was heavenly (the nice gentleman serving even asked if I preferred the end or middle piece-very thoughtful). They have fresh bread for sale and even some that are gluten free, which shows how thoughtful they are concerning their guests. This is worth the trip. I will definitely be back! Definitely recommend -give them a try!”

“Oh I am quite impressed with this pizza shop. Here is why. They were quick with timing. I had 20 minutes left till 9 PM and I was leaving Bible Institute at church in White Pond. Since I am Deaf. My pastor called to order fast and told them my order. When arriving they knew who I am and not even need to say my name and paid and I got my pizza in 2 minutes as they were closing. Pizza awesome. Love double cheese on large pizza. Cost 17 something as of February 2024. Priced right for good quality. If you want cheaper price. A bunch of chain pizza restaurants elsewhere. The only downside they do not deliver to my resident 5 miles south on 278. No restaurants and no dashers (any company) would do it. Still best pizza so friendly staff and yes she knew sign language! I love it! Thank you staff at Russell's!”

That's our motto when we go traveling, and we hit a jackpot with this one.The pizza was very delicious, some of the best I've ever had, we got the Deluxe Meat Pizza. The wings were juicy and very flavorful. Even the baked potato had such a good flavor. I would definitely like to dine in here again. The staff were very friendly and efficient, we didn't wait long at all for all the food we ordered.Parking: There is an open grassy area to the right of the building that you can park if the street parking is filling up.Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an access ramp on the sidewalk leading to the restaurant.”

“Not from Elko or from south Carolina for that matter but was in town doing some work and got hungry so I'm looking for a place to eat and came across this jewel. Wasn't much to the sight of it but the food and service was so awesome and friendly definitely will come back when I'm in town.”

“This is a very good buffet with some like mama used to make food. The fried chicken is so good, but the macaroni and cheese is off the hook! They have a nice salad bar and plenty of vegetables. They usually have a few desserts like a peach cobbler or banana pudding. The servers are very nice and they take care of you very well.”

“I'm a sucker for cheap Chinese food, and my husband and I stumbled across this spot on our way home from camping. I'll admit that I didn't have high hopes for a Chinese buffet in a small town, but we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was hot, cooked well, and tasted good. The quality of the meat used was unexpectedly good, and the veggies were pretty crisp and well cooked. For the price, I will definitely come back should we find ourselves out that way again. The restaurant itself was run-down, but it didn't affect the quality of the food at all!”

“We have been going to Freeman's BBQ when we are in the area for over 40 years now. Some things have changed for the better, they have tables now. Nothing has gotten worse in 40 years. The BBQ is great and the vinegar based sauce is spectacular. This is a quintessential BBQ spot, no frills, just good food. The third generation has kept all the good things that have kept us coming back for more than four decades.”

“It is a subway. The food is good but for the price it is ok. The bathroom was very clean during my visit so that is always a plus in my book. Only reason I don't give a 5 for this review is that I did not see anything that really stand out to me as going above and beyond.”

“We were heading to auction in Blackville and ordered food. Drive thru was moving slow because of big order. Young man brings out our food in the rain so we can head on to auction. Very impressive customer service. Barbecue sandwiches were excellent.”

“This is actually one of the best Hardee's, food wise. Unlike most, they still serve fried chicken. The atmosphere gets a 3 star because it is a fast food restaurant. There is nothing to recommend it on that front. The service is typically good, with the people being nice and helpful. However, over half the time, you will have to pull over and wait for your food. Even when you order the most popular and common items.”
