For one thing one of the cook girl friend or wife one can stop spending so much time in the bathroom I think we all know she is scum kellie p she should stay away she is Tràcht and bad for business she needs to stay at home and let her ole man go to work

There were 3 of us. We each had a few drinks, no food when the bill came it was Over $300. One of us had 1 drink, one of us had 3 drinks and the other had 4 drinks, two of us did two shots. When we questioned the bill the one girl said to the other. “Did you double tap on some of their drinks cuz I must have as well”. I feel like that is a common thing they do cuz some people wouldn’t notice. Just be aware and check your bill. The bar tenders were nice and friendly and the service was quick.

If you’re looking for an island Tex-mex getaway, look no further. This place brings the vibes, the food, and fantastic service. Grab a Mex1 Margarita with house-made sour mix and lunazul tequila. Grande with salt. Splurge on the Nacho Mama’s shareable with ground beef. It will not disappoint. Relaxing on the front deck during sunset is the prettiest dinner you could ask for on Sullivan’s Island. I appreciate every dining experience we have there.

Had a good time drinking at the bar, until we looked at the bill. Found out we had been charged extra for something called El Jefe on six drinks we never asked for. Felt like we had been set up for an over charge, didn’t check the receipt till the next day and was too late to return and question it. Lesson learned, won’t go back only advice check your receipts.

So in a lot of Mexican restaurants that I've been to they bring chips and salsa to your table for free while you order your appetizers and your meal. That wasn't the case here so we ordered them and had to pay for them which is not that big a deal however the price of everything else the check was a little higher than we were expecting. So be aware of that. However the food was in all honesty very good and done correctly. The service was okay as it was busy however the waiter forgot a couple things. All in all service was still okay. This place is located two blocks from the beach and has a incredibly interesting atmosphere and I probably will go there again as the experience overall was a decent one.

My favorite Mexican food spot in Charleston! The vibes and food are spot on for the local beach life. Service and entertainment is great. I travel further for the Sullivans location over the West Ashley. Proudly added their sticker to my cooler!

Long time customer that feels obligated to give a SHOUT OUT to how AMAZING this place is. A new culinary director has upped the level of quality and it shows. Everything we ordered was delicious: street corn queso, guacamole, taco platters, palmetto bowl and the pineapple habanero margaritas are a 10!!

I recently dined at Mex 1 and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The ingredients tasted fresh and authentic, and the spice levels were just right The prices were reasonable. It was overall a great experience.
