Lived in Summerville for years and Five Loaves was 1 of our favorites. Was visiting 7/18/25 for lunch and was thoroughly disappointed. Hot Ham and Brie sandwich was disappointing bread was soggy and had a very off taste. The Eggplant Fritter salad was not enjoyable . The asparagus was like small green twigs and the Eggplant Fritters tasted like brown dough balls. Needless to say we will probably not return. This has always been a great lunch spot for us, but we had a terrible dinner experience very recently. The service was VERY slow(and not busy like at lunch time), two soup samplers were spilled on me and my husband, we were completely ignored after the spill and had to go up to the bar to ask for our check so we could leave.
