I sampled the bene wafers today at a show and I had to walk out with a box. I have not had such a good bene wafers since my great aunts who lived and baked to 100 passed on. This is the genuine local article you would find coming out of the family kitchen. There are some commercial bakies that make a bene seed cookie that is quite crisp and is good. But these are better. Just like homemade. I'll be making trips up to Summerville for more even though I have a family recipe.
