I have never been to this establishment, as I live in Idaho, but my son lives in Sumter and is a big fan. Which is why I wanted to send him a gift certificate for this establishment for his upcoming birthday, but they are not interested in any new business, I guess. I sent them two messages on their website, even getting verification that they were received. Having waited over 2 weeks with no response, I called 3 different times and times of day. No one ever answered the phone or responded to the THREE messages I left inquiring about a gift certificate. I ended up getting the $100 gift card from Buffalo Wild Wings. EXTREMELY BAD customer service and I will be encouraging my son to find another lunch spot for him and his buddies.UPDATE: Today, I received a nice email from Gray, the owner of this brewery, apologizing for this mishap. He said this is NOT how he runs his business, appreciated me bringing this issue to his attention and offered a concession. I appreciated this gesture and will make sure my son knows of this goodwill.

We went in, sat there for awhile, 2 people were behind the bar having a conversation but never came to offer a menu or drinks. Maybe we were supposed to order at the bar I’m not sure there weren’t any signs saying otherwise. 3 stars seems fair for the experience I had

Came South to visit my daughter and the Sumter Original Brewery (SoB) did not disappoint. Great beer selections and the atmosphere was amazing. Three levels with different vibes and enough space to feel connected to the action, yet room to have your own escape ?Being a first time customer, the trip made me jealous my hometown Brewery doesn't have the same energy. We'll come back each time we come to visit. The SoB Light was their favorite while I enjoyed the 16 Talons IPA ?Parking on the street was plentiful as well as enormous space on all three levels. Friendly customer service and games galore on the second floor was enough to stay entertained for hours. Highly recommend if you're in the area! ?

Chicken sandwich was great. The ping pong tables were top notch. Atmosphere and staff were outstanding. My only disclaimer is they have three dart boards and only one set of darts. Rooftop entertainment was a bit pricey so we didn’t go in.

Good atmosphere, dog friendly. Multiple levels, a ground floor for big groups a game floor, and a roof top for all seasons. Good selection of food for a brewery and actually really good. Wings and smash burger were good, 1919 was a good brew as well.

Update: went back, food still sucks. Confusing, as I was told they are affiliated with side bar who has good food. Not sure what the disconnect would be.

If you're looking for a nice relaxing restaurant, this is not it. The food is a limited menu but really good. However the open setting is noisy and there is no table service. The beers and house brewed sodas are great.

Huge brewery in downtown Sumter! Tried a few different beers, all were decent from the lager to porter to stout. The sour was one of the best I have had, not so sour and great flavor. Service on the top floor is super friendly and fun, and the food was awesome. Definitely a must try when in the area!
