“Alright folks, gather ‘round and listen to a tale of epic flavor. The other night, the head chef of our household—a.k.a. the missus—gave me a hall pass from grill duty. I loaded the team into the family dad mobile, and set a course for a place of legend right here in Taylors: FUJI of Tokyo.
Right off the bat, my son, a budding comedian, looks at the sign and asks me, “Dad, can you say something funny about FU?” I looked that boy square in his eyes, put on my most serious face, and said, “F me? no, FU!” The entire table groaned in unison. Let me tell you, my work was done before the onion volcano was even lit.
This place isn't just dinner; it’s dinner and a show! These hibachi chefs are part cook, part magician, and part stand-up comedian. They’re slinging spatulas and flipping shrimp with the precision of a certified dad assembling a new lawnmower. And the fire! Holy smokes! The onion volcano erupts in a blaze of glory that’s just grill-iant. The whole performance is, quite literally, on fire.
Now, the food. The portions are big enough to feed Godzilla after a rough day stomping around downtown. I got the steak and chicken combo, and it was sear-iously fantastic. The fried rice was so good, I told the chef, “It’s very rice to meet you!” He didn't laugh, but I knew he got it. My wife had the sushi, and I had to stop her from ordering more because she was on a roll! The whole meal was soy amazing, you have to see it to be-leaf it, just like Mount Fuji itself!
The service is fast and friendly, and they’re great with the kids. From the fiery show to the monstrously good food, FUJI of Tokyo gets a five-star rating on the official Dad-o-Meter. You just wasa-bi-lieve how good it is. So, maki your way over there for a meal that’s a guaranteed knockout.“

“We catered Harvey's for our residents Friendsgiving event at Brushy Creek Post Acute. The food was delicious but the service was even better! The staff was incredibly kind from the beginning starting with Kristy over the phone and the staff (I should have gotten their names) that helped me load all of the food into my car. “I don’t know if this young man will get any recognition but Joseph B Jr was the one who made my food and rung me up. He was a very nice and helpful. We need more people like him.

Only bad thing is I got oily stale chips can even chew them. You can literally see the oil on the chips. other than that great service.“

The Hot Mama was the perfect refreshing sandwich on a hot, humid summer day, flavorful, satisfying, and generously portioned. Each sandwich is cut in half and wrapped individually, making it easy to save for later (just note it can get a bit soggy).

The Chop Cheese was absolute heaven! The slight kick from the peppers added just the right touch of heat. With the large portions, I enjoyed the second half for dinner at the airport. It was still delicious, even without being piping hot.

Don’t skip the mozzarella bites, a fun, creative twist on classic cheese sticks. Make your way to the back corner of Gather and give this place a try. It’s worth it!“

“Came here with my friend, we're both from out of state and wanted something fresh and healthy. I had the Baja salad and she had the Asian salad. Both were incredibly delicious! Staff was so friendly and the dining area is bright and clean!! Great value too for the large portion! Really enjoyed it and would come back again in a heartbeat!!“

“As you walk in pick up a menu thats in the front counter. After you order your food you find a table and wait to be amazed. Anything you order will be fantastic from the coffee, to the filling sandwich, or delicious cinnamon roll. Service was very friendly as well. Small wait but well worth it!“

The menu is a pared-down version of the old Sunflower Eatery, which has moved to Wade Hampton Blvd near downtown Greenville, and the food is just as delicious, consistent, and made with care—especially the desserts. “What a great place for some real favorites! If you like tropical style foods like we do this is the place! My wife had the chicken Cuban bowl and I had the Cuban pork bowl. With all of the chemicals in food and drink, it is nice to drink a juice with so many preserved vitamins and the juice combinations complement each other perfectly! “Today is Sunday, December 14, 2025 and my husband and I are eating for the first time at this location. Wow, what a pleasant experience! 😃 The lady upfront went above and beyond to serve us with complete satisfaction. She even brought our order of cookies (hot, fresh, and tasted homemade) out to the car after we had received our pizza. The pizza was made with a barbecue base vs a tomato base, with chicken, peppers, onions, and pineapples added. The crust is not too thick, kind of golden brown and flaky.
It was simply delicious, we
ate all but one slice in one sitting. We enjoyed everything, Lord willing, it's likely that we will return again and recommend your business to others.“

“My family and I recenty visited this location. I came specifically for the newly returned Braised Beef Tortelloni (my all-time favorite and the main reason I would visit Olive Garden). Unfortunately, it wasn’t available that night, but our server Gabby, being very attentive, noticed my disappointment and quietly notified the manager, Dejuan.
Dejuan went above and beyond, personally ensuring the kitchen could still prepare the dish for me despite it being off-menu that evening.
It was absolutely delicious and just as delicious as I always remembered it.

“Ordered the Plain Jane salad and Cauliflower bites.

Salad was a good size for the price and came with plenty of dressing.

Cauliflower bites were buffalo flavored. Had good flavored but the texture was very soft and wished they had some crunch.

Overall the meal was good and worth the price.“
