Wow! This place rivals all the BBQ joints I've visited in Houston, TX. I lived there for 15 years and I think I've hit them all. This was my first visit at 521 BBQ & Grill and I wasn't disappointed. I'm usually cautious when trying a new place so I ordered safe and went with the BBQ pulled pork. It was very tender and juicy, not dry and flavorless like a lot of other BBQ places. Their baked beans and potato salad tasted fresh; homemade and not from a can....

I loved the barbecue sandwich and the hush puppies with honey butter. Our waitress was super nice. My husband really liked the ribs and fried okra. I also liked the aesthetics of the place, like the tile at the bar, and the plate my food came on was really unique. Convenient location as well.
