I absolutely love Sushi yama. I've been coming here since they've opened. This is the first place that introduced me to sushi. I've never had a bad sushi here.
My husband and I came here for an omakasi for our anniversary. Chef Rick and all the staff were extremely nice and personable. The food was absolutely amazing and probably the best food that I've ever tasted. We are already planning our next omakasi with them!

40 minutes later, she said they can’t make it and I’d have to wait another 15 minutes.

So we ate at Sushi Yama for Valentines Day last night and was highly disappointed! We have ate here several times before as it is usually one of our top sushi restaurants. But last night, management decided that “take out” orders were more important than the people actually waiting on their food in the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our sushi rolls and still didn’t receive all our food! We were almost late to another reservation we had planned that was 2 hours after our reservation time at Sushi Yama. We had to rush to our next reservation just to get there in time which should’ve never been a problem. Worst service I have ever experienced. Our waitress, Madison, was so great and one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had and we know that what happened was not her fault at all! It was managements fault! They should’ve stopped “to go orders” that night due to the amount of people in the restaurant. We are highly disappointed in Sushi Yama and probably won’t be going back for a while.

Husband went in to get me some miso soup because I was sick and was told that he couldn’t just buy miso soup because it was a side item even though it’s on the menu. Management there it’s just ridiculous.

We go to Sushi Yama at least once a month (or have in the last couple of months) and the food is always great. It's best if you make a reservation because sometimes you have to wait over 30 min. depending on the day. They have great waiters and waitresses.

Sushi was delicious. Ingredients were all super fresh. Tuna was excellent, top quality. Miso soup was delicious too. Wife loved her hibachi chicken and vegetables. Ruma amd avocado roll were so good. Tuna melted in your mouth like butter. Chicken tempura roll was tasty too. Service was incredible. Will be back for another great meal.

This was a fabulous meal! We enjoyed it as a large group and we accommodated so quickly!! The sushi is so fresh and yummy! I highly recommend the Furman Roll!

Had lunch here with a friend. Very nice environment, a little noisy but okay. Manager visited briefly to check that all was fine. The habachi shrimp plate was a little skimpy on the shrimp with an adequate serving of rice. Overall a good friend visit. Service was very good….guess my expectations were for a little more in the way of food…it was well prepared.
They are super nice and helped us in the pouring rain!! Highly recommend!!

I ordered two rolls (Philadelphia and the Spider) which I typically really enjoy. My husband ordered hibachi chicken. While we were eating, we both noted how bland our food was. We were both really looking forward to trying this place, however it was a let down.
