Do not get take out from here. When we have eaten at the restaurant it was decent. Every time we get take out, its just bad. Like they don't care. The BLT sandwich plate was soggy untoasted buttered bread. I love Dukes mayonnaise but there should not be more mayo than lettuce on a BLT. One soggy piece of lettuce. The bacon was under cooked. The sweet potato rails were laying in a layer of cold oil and super greasy. Its just disappointing.

I would have given all 4 stars but the AC didn't seem to be working and it was about 76 degrees in there! Prices are also higher than expected. $42 for ribs and a sweet tea.

Delicious burgers, house made chips and onion straws and very good service from Kaylee. We were too stuffed for dessert, but the desserts are pretty good, too.

I’ve had 3 meals here and 2 of the 3 have been bad. The last visit was so bad I felt I needed to say something. This place needs to do better. They charge too much for the poor quality of food they serve. The service is poor as well. I had hoped for better with my sister in town. Disappointing…

The food was delicious! Everything was fresh and tantalizing on the tastebuds.
We particularly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, catfish, and don’t even me started on the shrimp and grits!!😋🤤
The service was all it should be, welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. Thank you Whistle Stop for such an enjoyable experience.
We will back for sure!

We live here for 6 years and this was our first visit.
That was great.
Tasty hotdog, great beer and what a place to see.

Filet Mignon was very tough and hard to cut, definitely not Filet Mignon, stringy and hard to chew, same as a year ago. Mentioned it to the waitress her response was making us wait about 20 minutes for our check in a nearly empty restaurant.

Whistle Stop Cafe was highly recommended by some friends. We decided to try it for ourselves. We had the BEST experience there. The service was OUTSTANDING! We absolutely loved our food to include the Fried Green Tomatoes. I’m over 60 and I think I may have had the best hamburger in my entire life here at Whistle Stop. My wife loved her chicken salad. I realize a lot of reviews can be very subjective, but I don’t write things if people are doing only what they ought to be doing…thus, if a restaurant goes above beyond I will praise them for that. Thus, we loved the atmosphere, the food and the service. We, therefore, highly recommend Whistle Stop Cafe… we will go there as often as we can!

We hiked the rail trail and stopped for a beer. We didn't order food so I haven't rated that, but the service was good and the atmosphere inside is neat, lots to look at. The upstairs open bar was not open so we sat out front which was a little hot in the partial sun, I wish the open bar was open as it was cooler up there with fans. Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking on us outside.

I keep wanting to like this place. Good atmosphere and wait staff. We had dry chicken wings, overcooked tenders, and the fried green tomatoes are not good. Paper thin and breaded and fried makes them just eating greasy breading without really tasting the tomato. We have been several times but we are just done trying.
