When we arrived, we were told we would have a 15 minute wait. We waited 50 minutes before they suggested we sit on the roofs outdoor seating. We went up stairs, sat at dirty table and waited another 15 minutes before anyone came to see us.

The food was incredibly expensive for what we got and want very appearing when we did get it. We will not be returning.

Disappointed about the signature Bloody Mary. Ordered one waitress brings it to me with no celery or bacon. I ask her about why there was no bacon or celery and I was told they did not have bacon and charged me for the signature Bloody Mary.

This was actually incredible. Everone there was really pleasant. The food was great and Tovah our waitress was the best between her smile, the twinkle I hers eyes the way she took time to help her team and take care of he own customers I would on a 1- 10 scale a 12. We’ll surly be back again even the hour drive won’t stop us. Thank you Tovah for your kindness and service

Great place to eat in Traveler's Rest. We had just left the Greenville Highland Games at Furman University and were looking for a comfortable, fun, interesting place to eat a late lunch. The decor is a great combination of rustic, artistic and comfortable. Service was very friendly and helpful and as efficient as you might hope. The menu is really interesting nouvelle southern. The fried pickles are great. Shrimp and grits are very different from my (much more traditional) recipe, but we're excellent. They make a great Bloody Mary and have some good local beer on tap. I hope I can get back to the area so I can eat at the Whistle Stop again.

First time here and the food and atmosphere was great. Live music was great. Variety of great food on menu. The Fried Green Tomato pizza was delicous and I don't even like tomatoes. Lol. Our server, Brittney, was attentive and kept the drinks flowing.

I had the half chicken with brussel sprouts and homemade mac and cheese. It was absolutely delicious!! Or waitress was super nice and the overall atmosphere is fun. Two things: 1. They don't list what their side items are on the menu anywhere so I didn't know what my options were. It was frustrating trying to place an order. I like to be ready when the waitress comes around but I couldn't be and had to ask her to list the items for me. 2. The booth we sat in was extraordinarily uncomfortable. We were sitting on some kind of wooden beam with blocks under the vinyl. We felt we couldn't take our time to eat because our butts hurt and we wanted to get out of there. Overall I'd absolutely get food from there again, but I'd get it to go because I don't wish to sit in those booths again. Don't miss this place though, the food really is spectacular!

The wings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Tori ask the food preparation staff to crisp them up for me. She made sure they were right! They were perfect and the taste was great. We’ve never had a bad meal there. The shrimp and grits are exceptional as well.

Our first time at the Whistle Stop Café in Travelers Rest, SC. We both enjoyed the Brussel sprouts appetizer, and I enjoyed the black bean burger while my husband enjoyed the fish and chips.
