We have been living in Walterboro for about 2 1/2 years and have been scared to visit local restaurants due to the poor comments people say about the establishments here. Well, let me tell you this tonight we tried Captain D’s and it was the best fish dinner we have had in a very long time. We will definitely be back. They were very busy, but everything was perfect.
Captain Ds is a fast food dining experience...all food in deep fried...
And in this experience although the food was good...it seemed to be fried in oil not quite hot enough...the fried fish seemed to hold more oil than normal...which translated to soggy...
Service was difficult at this location...the food was brought to my table..never had this before...

Just tried the Captain D's in walterboro for the first time. And we will be returning here regularly. The restaurant was clean and organized. The restroom was extremely clean. The staff was efficient and friendly. Food was delicious.and very reasonable and we could eat those lobster bites all day long.
