We were looking for food and a beer, just north of Savannah on our way down from Bat Cave NC to Savannah. There was NOTHING south of Orangeburg. It was 3:30 and we’re starving. Found Fat Jacks & it was just okay (for fried rice) but burger was great for Him. The STAFF was awesome & attentive, especially Pippa the bar tender. \nThe place needed a good cleaning but we didn’t care (too much).
The service was wonderful. Fast, friendly and efficient. The food was very good for the most part. We each had the lunch special for $10.95 each.
My husband had the fried chicken and said it was juicy and very tasty. The fries were fabulous. It has been a long time since I have stollen more than one of the fries off of his plate but we were fighting for these.😁 He also liked the coleslaw.
I had the smothered chicken (no cheese) and it was a little over cooked...

The Guinness was great but the corned beef , cabbage and mashed potatoes were cold. Fish and chips were much better. Overall just an average Irish pub with music from Sound Garden playing in the background
