Don’t let the location fool you! This is authentic and delicious Mexican food. If you enjoy homemade Mexican speciality this is a must try. Shredded chicken is well seasoned. The carne asada (steak) is tender and has a lovely char. The carnita (pork) could use a little char too but is still delicious. I’ll be back to try more of their plentiful menu and eat more steak!

It can be a little loud, but this great Mexican restaurant attached to a gas station is fabulous! Our friend who lives nearby brought us. Great food !

Not the best venue (though great for locals in-the-know looking for lunch or dinner), but the food is very good. Marketing could be much better, but the food makes up for this. Many options, all great choices.

Chips and Cheese is one of those places that just gets it right—every single time. The service is always friendly and fast, the food is ridiculously tasty, and they’ve got the coldest beer in town. I love that they always have music playing and a salsa bar that takes it to the next level. You even leave smelling like you’ve been somewhere worth it (in the best way). On top of all that? The prices are just as good as the food. Makes it even easier to keep this place in the regular rotation. Big thanks to the team—y’all crush it every time.

Not the nicest area, especially right next to gas station. If you passed the exon gas station, you missed it.
The food is decent. Had the quesabirria tacos (3 for 12.00) and a coke (Mexican bottled for $4.00). Total came out to roughly 18.00 not including tip.
The Burria was not too bad. A little dry but the dipping sauce was there to moisten it a little more. If I had to make an improvement I would go for the tortillas.
Would I return? Most likely not. I wanted to try it and that’s about it. But if I lived here year round I’d probably make this a spot to frequent.
The salsa was really good. Especially the two in pics. Spicy!
