Chance's Bar and Grill

Friendly bartenders, one of them spent time to have a lovely chat with my elderly father, which I truly appreciate. The food was less than noteworthy. Looks like a local watering hole and the clientele seemed happy, just not my type of place.

Great place to get a cold drink

This establishment refuses to pay the main and important employees who choose to help the whole place. People who should be appreciated are underappreciated and unpaid for three whole days. This equals $450.

If it is not corrected - there are certain SC Codes of Law that govern this behavior of an establishment. If you so choose not to pay an employee, they are entitled to report this to the departments appropriate. That would equal three times this pay after warning.

Would they rather pay that cost and risk investigation, or will they make it correct with the employee.

SC Code of Law Section 41-10-80 Section C. Google is their best friend at this point.

The food was certainly above average. However, the service was truly exceptional.

The two bartenders were very active, and the cook even came out to make sure we were happy with everything.

Substantially better service than the average bar and grill. Highly recommend

Had a bit of time in SC before flying back home. Met up with my cousin & fiance here and had a good time before taking off. No music, but the seating arrangement allowed you to see other patrons and have a good time together. The service was so friendly and quick. Having a mimosa and breakfast before a flight is a good idea at this spot. The cutlery and dishware are super basic and plastic, but the food is affordable. My grits could've used more salt, but it was a standard breakfast, nothing packed with flavor.

Good pub food. Onion rings were very oily. Burger was good, wings were good. Bartender was very friendly. Friendly service.

I took my wife to Chance for our Anniversary dinner. We made reservations to be safe. Seating and parking is somewhat limited. We had the Beer Bread with locally sourced honey and butter and Roasted Sweet Potatoes as an appetizer. Both were delicious! My wife loved the bread and I was a big fan of the of the sweet potatoes. I had the French press coffee which was spot on. My wife had a pop. For dinner she had the Buffalo Buttermilk chicken with pickled onions. And onion rings as her side. Wow were those onions rings done to perfection !! Hand dipped and delicious. I did the Fraser salad and then the Smash Burger with fried potatoes. It was perfectly done and delicious.
We will absolutely return to Chance. Love the fact everything is sourced from local farms. The meat produce even the honey is all sourced nearby. The cook/owner came out to check on us and our food several times. We were impressed over all and we tend to be food critics (not professionally). So we were very pleased

Parking: Parking is limited so using the street to find space could be a last resort
