Ate here 5/15/2021. They allowed tons of Mexican with large families enter the restaurant with no mask on. No one showed a vaccinated card! They allow all to self serve at the buffet with no mask on, kids running around the bar, some didn’t wore plastic gloves while serving their self at bar. Brought it to Happy China staff and management attention, that’s when they started acting like the could not understand English, once they understood by me pointed out the ones not follow guidelines. They just stared and refused to correct the large groups of ppl with no mask on at the Bar over food. But All Happy China staff wore gloves and mask. Also saw a roach came from under the napkins pile on the table, spoons left out openly on the table for you to eat with not covered in plastic . They Not like they use to be years ago, nasty and only in it for the money. Left immediately and Will never return here.
I can't help but rate this so low. Sushi tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours. The food was dry and very poor. Our drinks stayed emptied. I was very unsatisfied with my busy. We will never be back.
I usually come here every two weeks and they are good. But today they just sat us down didn’t ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks or nothing. They asked other tables but skipped right over us like we weren’t even there. I won’t be returning here.
First time there and really enjoyed buffet. Waitresses were so nice. Place very clean with great variety of food. Will be a frequent visitor!
We have gone in there multiple time and every time the food is good but the service sucks. We get seated and are given out initial drink and then the waitress never comes back. They will check every other table but ours. And this has happened the last few time we went there. Dont think we will be going there anymore.
There was plenty of food you didn't have to wait for them to bring more out. I left another Chinese Place because they brought out 2 servings of the main course I had wanted and several people were waiting for it. The food here is excellent and they server was the same.
Very disappointed with how filthy it was. HAPPY CHINA used to be a nice place. They just let it go. Some of the food on the buffet was cold. There are holes in the booth seats. The floor looks like it has not been vacuumed in days. No wonder they make you pay before you eat now. We will never go back.
Food was really good. Decent variety. The salt and pepper shrimp were great. Crawfish were 100x better than any other Chinese Buffet
We always enjoy Happy China. It's simple, quick, and there is a lot of variety. Those green peas in the pod are so good. Eggrolls are nice, especially when dipped in something like General Tso's sauce or pot sticker's sauce. They have plantains! Not my cup of tea, but it is interesting to see on the bar. Their house chicken is always good. I love fish, and they usually have it in two different forms, along with tartar sauce on the cold bar. In fact there are a lot of different sauces. Nice salad bar. Reasonably good sushi for a buffet.
One of the better chinese buffets around. I would like to see some better sushi options and with less rice. Service was good and the place gets pretty busy. Tucked away in a strip mall and not noticable so it's worth a look. If we are in the area we will be sure to stop.

We enjoy going because of the great selection. FYI they are moving right down the street soon. But no date was confirmed. Looking forward to the new location across from the Hampton Inn.
While visiting friends as we were traveling through the midlands area, our go to chinese restaurant was not allowing dine-in seating. We read a few reviews here, although old, we decided to eat here. Be prepared to pay before you're seated. The cost for my spouse and I came to $34 something, which included a drink. I thought seafood, steak or something good was on the buffet bar. How disappointed we were when we saw it only had the standard chinese dishes. We opt for water. The food was sub-par. Things that were supposed to be hard/crunchy was soft and vice versa. There were only three flavored kind of sushi rolls....that's all. The food wasn't all that good. For the price and the quality of good it's definitely not worth it. I'd been happy getting McDonalds and would have saved a lot of money. Next time we go out with our friends I'm picking the place.
The food was cold, and the waitress was rude. Two of the female waitres. (One had her hair in a ponytail, and the other one had her hair straight done), was laughing at my second plate of food like wow it's alot. She stop giving me refill after my second cup. Last time I remember a buffet means all you can eat.
Best vegetable egg foo yung in town! Fast, fresh food. Pleasant service. Can go in (with mask) to order, shop for sides, drinks, desserts, etc at the grocery store in the same shopping center while the food is cooking, and then pick up your hot dinner order to take home. Good variety on their menu.
Walked in today at 2:50 on. Was told to wait by nice lady. Another couple walks in behind me and another hostess asks them how many and doesn't even look my way and grabs some menus to seat them. The couple then says he was before us, so she tells me I have to pay first before I eat. Smh. I will never eat here again! Also they have skimped on what they put out for the buffet.
