My husband likes to come here to get skins ,which are a bit on the $$$$ side but he raves about them. I decided since the skins were good to try a plate. The hash and rice was swimming in water + no flavor at all. The pulled pork had a smell that could easily indicate it was expired or left out too long. The smoked chicken looked more like boiled chicken with mustard on it. The women working were not friendly and seemed ready to clock out. This made me not want to go back inside to get a refund so I just threw it out…… but let just say I won’t be back!!!

Ordered bbq plate and baked beans. Food did not have a good taste to it, very bland. As other reviews have stated, hash & rice was heavily diluted with water. The pork itself was cold even before putting sauce on it. Beans were very hot but may as well have just been right out the can. I don't think I would eat here again.

Team always grab ribs from the back that taste old and not fresh. This has happened all three times I've visited, small portion and food I could not eat. Reminder, I paid for old food that was not fresh!

Pork had no flavor. Beans came straight out of a can. Not even sure what the slop was over rice. Not bbq I’d ever want again.

The food had absolutely no taste (seasoning). Hash seemed water downed have to use a lot of BBQ sauce. Baked beans tasted like a can of pork and beans. Price was good considering what you get. The ladies that work there are really sweet. JMO.

We have been travelling between Cincinnati, OH and the South Carolina coastal area for over 25 years. Based on BBQ lure and many investigations, one of the stops we began to make was at Hite's BBQ. Husband always has a cooler ready to go and even plans his drive so we can get there when they are open. We have eaten at their picnic tables but mostly pack as much as we can for family, friends, and mostly us. Recently my husband was on the trip alone and stopped for his "fix." The credit card machine was doing something crazy and we were overcharged. Upon discovery, we reached out to Hites and they immediately refunded our whole bill. That was not necessary, as we purchased products. I think they are about the nicest folks anywhere, and that's on TOP of their high quality food. Thanks you guys! We will be stopping again soon. Nothing fancy, just good local barbecue. The sauce is the carolina style, mustard base. We visited on the 4th, so they were open at 8am till sold out. On a regular week, I think they open mainly on the weekends. It is a local place. It is not as good as Piggy Park barbeque in Casey though. Their hash and rice is delicious and doesn't give me heart burn. I do not think they sell bottles of their sauce.
