Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana

Delicious food but, inconsistent service. I don't get the same thing with the same order. Ex. What do chips/dip come with?? Why do I get them on one day's order and not on the same item different day?

We took our family for dinner after roller skating at Thee Fountains and we all have very happy bellies!
The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant is very clean (restrooms too)
The service was great. They were quick and attentive. Very friendly.
With every bite we could tell that everything was made in-house. It was authentic and delicious! The tortillas were awesome!! You've gotta try the salsa Verde also! It was sooo good!
The prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back each time we are in the area to roller skate. Next time we have to try one of their award winning margaritas!

We went for lunch because it won some Best Of Awards in The State. But it was an average place with average food. The server was very good but voted Best Taco in Columbia? Ridiculous. It was a good taco but no different than many other places. The whole Best Of Awards seem suspect to me now. But it's OK too. Wish it well.

Truly home-made food and welcoming family atmosphere! what a great find within 5 min of Columbia airport, perfect for before or after a flight. We had the whole fried fish - fresh and delicious - and the Quesabirria, both excellent and leftovers to take home. Service with lots of smiles too! Will be back.

I was very disappointed in the food. We had heard and read reviews that said otherwise. The portions are very small for the price. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area that are much better . Don't waste your time and money!

I had been here several times in the past and was satisfied with the food even though it was average at best. They were serving an all you can eat buffet and the choices were limited but still satisfying. I was saddened to see them close.

On Friday July 11th I was going to eat at a competitors restaurant a few miles away when I noticed they were open again. I went in and sat down and was greeted immediately and given a menu. As I looked at the menu I started noticing not many of the items had pricing information. That didn't concern me as I had my mind set on Fajitas when I entered. I placed my order explicitly asking the sour cream be deleted from the salad. I was not happy when my meal was delivered with a huge dollop of sour cream firmly placed in the middle of the salad. The waitress informed me that she had placed the order exactly as I requested and offered to take it back. I politely accepted the meal as presented. I do not send food back to a Chef for threat of foreign materials added to my meal. If the server knew the order was not correct it should have never left the kitchen and the Chef's beef would be with the server and not the customer. I was unimpressed with the food as it was rather bland but I was really surprised when she presented the check at the end of the meal exceeding $30, no I didn't have any alcholic beverages just a glass of tea. I'm guessing they figured I probably wouldn't come back so they would take me for every penny they could. So congratulations may be in order for Agave Azul; you are destined for extinction again.

Why in the world did yall get rid of the buffet?? The food now is good, but it was then also…. That really made this restaurant stand out as it was the only Mexican buffet probably in the state of South Carolina! It was so unique and good, and I’m very disappointed it’s gone. I would come back for the food, but if I want just a normal Mexican restaurant I have so many options to choose from. Very upset the buffet is gone, but if you just want good food with normal service, they are good.
