“Schwan's Recreation is a true hidden gem and a classic slice of Americana right in the heart of Aberdeen! We stopped by based on a local recommendation, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is fantastic it has that cozy, retro vibe, is spotlessly clean, and feels incredibly welcoming. The staff was wonderful; they greeted us with a smile and provided quick, attentive service. The food was the highlight, though—the burgers and milkshakes are absolutely legendary. Being conveniently located on 1st Avenue makes it easy to find with plenty of parking nearby. It’s the perfect spot for a family meal or catching up with friends. We’ll definitely be back!”

“we picked up pizza on our way into town for a sporting event. not only was it done when we got to town a few minutes early but it was the best pizza we have had in a long time. my family are pizza snobs and this is delicious!!!”

“You wouldn't believe how good the food is here! Locals know...whenever we eat here people are coming in and out for the regular stuff. It is fast food but with a wider range of options. Plus there is food in coolers and freezers that you can buy to take home or take to feed a large crowd. The burgers are the best in town. They also have amazing chicken. Lots of good options for a quick lunch break. Lots of options for a meal with the kids. A bunch of amazing, unique, homemade desserts (cookies, bars, cheesecake, pie, kuchen...)”

“I am usually a Starbucks regular but, as we were passing here on a road trip, we decided to park and visit. Inside there is plenty of comfortable seating. The service was friendly and prompt and the coffee was good. I will use this chain again.”

“The Kesslers’ Caribou Coffee location is the best. The baristas are friendly, fast, and always get my order just right. It’s so convenient to pick up a coffee after checking out with my groceries.”

“If you’re in Aberdeen looking for a local place to explore, you should try this location out. It’s slightly old and dated but kind of like a time capsule.
The food is just ok. Slightly plain similar to the location and lacks flavor but will do in a pinch and isn’t absurdly expensive.”

“Very quick service today. I ordered the steak and shrimp dinner meal and it only took about 10 minutes before it was brought to me. Nice atmosphere and the waiter was awesome. The only complaint I had was that they only seat two or more for the hibachi table and I was dining alone.”

“Pop’s never disappoints! Every visit has been a delicious experience, and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far. Don’t forget to grab a tasty dessert before you go! The wait staff is always kind and welcoming, and Kim (the owner) is amazing. She genuinely connects with her customers, which makes the whole experience feel more personal and special. You can tell she truly cares. Definitely one of my top favorite spots in town. So grateful to have a local gem like this - it's absolutely a place worth supporting! Go try it if you haven’t!”

“This is the place! Warm welcoming service with a good value for your dollar on food quality that beats out the bigger chains. These people know what friendly service is all about. Every employee is on their A-game. You can tell that are sincere and happy about treating all their customers with kindness. I was visiting from out of town, but it was easy to tell that the loyal following from their locals really makes this Taco Johns feel like home.”

“I don't usually rate anything with four stars. The reason why I rated it so is because everything is far more expensive than it used to be. Ended up paying thirty dollars for two people, which is quite outrageous. Now, the food was great, the people were friendly. I do miss their orange cheese slices. I'm not sure how "it was too expensive" is a proper excuse when customers are charged large amounts of cash. It feels like being robbed almost because I can not imagine a family ordering here without spending fifty dollars. I don't understand why the world has come to thinking money is more important than living. It's not the employees' faults. They did well. Yet, something should be done.”

“In my opinion Jersey Mike's is the best sandwich shop in town. Remember to look at the menu, for the sandwich you are ordering, if it says vinegar & oil, the sandwich may be "wet". Ask for light vinegar & oil, or opt for non. Also, remember if the menu says the sandwich comes Mike's way and you do not like that option, then order the sandwich not Mike's way. They make the sandwiches the way the menu says to, unless you specifically order it different. My personal favs are #17 (philly) on Rosemary & #3 on White (not Mike's way)”
