We got breakfast and it was amazong! We have come a few times and always love it. It was quite busy this morning when we went so we did have to wait but it was definitely high quality cooking.

Food was amazing, I love the 1920’s charm, the cook did an excellent job but was short staffed.

The service was outstanding, and the omelet was absolutely delicious!

The gentleman who waited on us was the only good thing about this experience. He was very friendly.
Aside from that, not impressed, at all.
It was a Sunday morning, and only 3 things were available in the pastry case, and 2 of them were just cookies and macarons
The chocolate chip cookie was bad. Just really really bad. It was just a thick hunk of flavorless batter and was kept cold.
The only other thing available was a mango scone. This was not a scone. It tasted like a Pillsbury buttermilk biscuit, and had the exact same consistency. And the mango tasted like peach. Not mango.
On top of all that, the prices were ridiculously high.
You will not be staying in business in this town with nothing available to purchase on a Sunday morning, and those prices. This is not that kind of town.
I really wanted to like this place and kept wondering why every time I walked by it was vacant even though they were open.
You need to beef up your inventory and bring prices down if you want to thrive here.
And please, find a different recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

If you’re looking for a tasteful breakfast sandwich, LaRue’s should be your first choice. One of the best I’ve had, everything was fresh & delicious.

I hosted my sisters bridal shower here and it was an amazing experience! Chef Chris designed the menu and prepared all food and everything from our tea to dessert was beautiful and delicious! His ham and cheese croissants are an absolute MUST ORDER!!

This is definitely the place to be in Aberdeen. If you are visiting, OMG, do yourself a favor and stay at Alonso Ward Hotel for a truly authentic experience. The beds are very comfortable, newly renovated. An old hotel made new, and very bour geois (fabulous)!! And don’t leave without getting pampered by LaRue’s bakery. He has breakfast, but you must try the scones- blueberry, mango, strawberry, or cherry; and the macaroons-coffee, strawberry, vanilla. OMG, great road food. Amen!

This place is such a vibe! Calming & a place to enjoy the slowness of a beautiful cup of coffee & treat. The scones were heavenly and the coffee was incredible.

Baguette sandwich of the day was Chopper Cheese. It tasted amazing and baguette had the perfect mix between crispy exterior and chewy inside.

Definitely worth checking out!

Our family’s first visit to LaRue’s and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff was very friendly and helpful our entire visit.

We ordered the Almond Croissant, Chocolate Croissant and the Biscoff Cookie. All of them were absolutely delicious, and made with so much care.

Highly recommend visiting!
